I always learn so much from watching your videos man. The knowledge you share with people is priceless. The fact of the matter is, people wnna be good but they dont have the right mindset. With the right mindset and the right guidance, anything is possible. And from one musician to another, thank you for everything! Keep it up brotha!

Your guitar philosophy is absolutely perfect! Very inspirational!

I like how you speak on the philosophy of why we either get stuck or move onto something more intersting and fulfilling. I've never heard a guitar teacher speak so much about doing what feels right to the individual. Very glad to see this online.

Also, I've never heard mastery explained the way you've done here. I mean, I assumed that it could "become completely easy and completely automatic," but it is reassuring to hear someone actually say that, especially because I feel like I have a long way to go.

My father used to scold me because I refused to play the druk-party songs that the family likes. Simple chord progressions, but as a begginer, they took a lot of time to learn and get the strumming right. But I didn't like them and I could feel my time being wasted in things that I didn't like. And you can learn a thousand songs and still feel like you can't play anything, if you don't like what you play.

Can't follow anything you said but it's the best explanation I've heard yet!

Well said. After watching a bunch of his videos I'm still struggling to figure out if he's just extremely good at saying bullshit that sounds profound or an actual friggin musical genius! Either way seems to work judging by how good he is at playing.

I struggled with that question. I came to the realization that he's full of shit

@@JackFoubest way to develop your style is to stop watching videos, quit looking for inspiration, quit studying music theory. Why? So you can keep fiddling around for a few years, picking bits and pieces you’ve accidentally created along the way, figuring out different bridges between your little pieces, constantly changing it up. The rest of the niche and magical understandings and your own theory just come with doing those couple things. Just takes time, waking up in the middle of the night to play what you heard in a dream, even if it’s a single phrase.

Everybody got that hint I think. But the list goes way further than just an individual. Success is often truly a double edged sword.
@JulieCutie8 жыл бұрын
XD totally, I had that thought, I feel Neoclassical evolved even further but YJM stayed behind. Check out the Japanese band Versailles for example, they added their own touch and it sounds wonderful. Music should be an never ending evolving thing in my opinion.

I'm not a pack animal which is why life has always been super difficult, but I would not change this to sacrifice my individual self. The same goes for my music. :-)
