I have watched so MANY self teach videos and frankly learnt NOTHING, either getting fed up with all the uneccessary woffle or listening to people massaging their own egos!!! I have been playing guitar since the mid 80's and never memorized all the notes. I could tell you what they are but, it would take some time. A few weeks ago I started watching these videos on KZbin and this one is by far the best method. Great lesson!!

That was literally THE most helpful video I've ever watched on the guitar. Amazing, I've been playing guitar for years casually, looked at this sort of thing before and goes over my head figured it would take years of music theory to understand every note on the fretboard. And after watching that once I not only understand it but think I could even teach someone else the same thing!! I'm stunned!! Knowing where the BC & EF notes is really helpfull as these natural notes are 1 semitone apart...every other natural note will be a full 2 frets from one another moving up or down the fretboard. Great video man !

Gotta try drilling this in. I already know the natural notes on the E strings and the octave shapes. Until now I've been buried in other methods to get to all the notes. I like that this one just uses the knowledge I already have.

I wish that I had someone show me this back in the 70's. Being from a small town no one could teach this. So I quit trying to make it in the music world. My brother inlaw played the piano and he had a #14 and #44 hit on the country music charts.
