I've played guitar all my life and own 8 guitars. That said, I stopped even picking them up some 15 years ago. I'm 65 now and thanks to you and others and youtube vids, I goi going to pick them up again and start playing, one at a time😂😂😂Thank you.

Great demo. I’m learning guitar without a buddy I can meet up with on a consistent and regular basis for trading ideas and discoveries. So I’m watching lots of demos like yours. I get great ideas and I take time to practice every new trick I learn. It’s a great time to be alive. There’s so much great stuff out there, if only ya go looking for it. KZbin seems to learn what I’m most interested in and serves up treats like your demo. Thanks for helping me learn. I’m 72, and tho I’ve played guitar for well over 50 yrs, I’m learning finger style guitar on my newly acquired Martin D-18. It’s a wonderful journey. Thanks for your help.

These ideas are a great go to when someone asks you to play without going through a whole song. Love the D chord. Learnt the D, Dsus4 and Dsus2 trick when learning Patience by GnR. Thanks for reminding me how great and easy it is

Love how easy and simple this is! You can spend a few weeks as a beginner and begin to actually play guitar.

As a newbie I started getting frustrated with "lessons". I felt good about learning but it got to a point to where I knew about a guitar, but I just wasn't playing it. I knew some chords, 2 scales and that was all. Then one night I started doing this stuff and I finally started having fun!

I would recommend as well dropping the low E string to D. Play along and you get some beautiful sounds when doing a run down from the D chord.

An excellent lesson. Also the psychology behind this strongly resonated with me. Mr EGO always gets in the way when playing in front of even 1 person. This is a great one to 'break the ice' and hopefully if interest is piqued, play a song for the 'audience' Warm regards, Sunny South Africa

Maybe you can help me with this problem, I am a beginner and I just can not get that F chord to push down enough to make it sound right. have tried everything I can think of to get my fingers to be able to push them down! And yes in case you were wondering, C sometimes gives me misery too. I'm getting better at D and these little hacks will surely help, so thank you.
