I have been playing guitar for 65 years. I never could stand distortion or overdrive. All I ever used was a Copicat. & the reverb & tremolo on my Fender Twin Reverb.

good stuff I have an MXR custom modified pedal with nice sounds. There are so many and it seems like its personal choice and what you can get here in Australia

What I don't understand is why the need for a "tube" distortion or overdrive pedal when you are using a tube amp, unless for some reason you wanted to run the pedal in the effects loop rather than chain it prior to the amp input.
