As someone who is advanced in playing lead guitar but has mostly overlooked rhythm parts (focusing only on power chords), this tutorial is perfect for me. Thank you so much!

I'm a self-taught guitarist that shaped my guitar technique around Malcolm Young's, so I'm more a rhythm player. Malcolm's playing is sick !!!

An he's palying sooo hard 'n nice to the long parts in "Let there be rock" with just one chord B… even in end of "It's a long way… "an so many others. Just change the strumming but keep the rhythm 😉 so I learned this for my tributeband -> The Deeds 👍

The two guitar idea is ingenious. I really like the contrast between the tones. Going to try and incorporate this into my playing.

As a 20+ year player and shredder I think this video is awesome. It reminded me of some things I'd forgotten and taught me a few new tricks for writing. The stuff about major/minor bar chords is PRICELESS! As well as the downstrokes rhythm part. Practice it! Awesome video bro! Rock on!

Quality video here. Rhythm is so important to a song but most people don't learn the discipline to do it. Everyone just wants to learn how to shred but doesn't learn how to carry the song. Nice work.

Yes !!! Excellent lesson for this over 40 year player that likes to think of himself (I'm talking about me) as intermediate because I know how to play many songs, but in the last year with having a lot of great songs available to learn on the internet and realizing my right hand wrist is not loose enough and hearing all that "up down, down up talk on tutorials "made me PARANOID, and more stiff. This just might help set me free ! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!! 😊

This is a great video and the only thing I disagree with him on is the 80s stuff people still want to hear what they don't want to hear is guitar solos the last 8 hours. But I think to sum up this great lesson and you need to get with a band of course but the key is just adding to the overall band sound I try to blend that's all I try to do

Very nice presentation mate. I'm an ever beginner stuck in a strumming rut and you've really opened my eyes to a different approach. I'm a 60s/70s sprog and the 70s and early 80s had, IMO, the most amazing diversity in guitarists. Although I enjoy listening to great shredding like in Metallica, I'll always go back to the likes of Phil Lynott, Mark Knopfler and Dave Gilmour for lead guitar and how those guys complement the band rather than dominate the overall sound.

I played live lead for 20 years. Easiest job in the band by far. You don't really need to know the songs. You get all sorts of breaks and regular people can't tell when you eff up. I also played bass. That was hard work.

What worked for me was playing campfire guitar songs. But each time you have to repeat a pattern, change it up a bit. Doesn't have to be much change.
