Best version i've heard so far.....too many players take obscene liberties with a defined tempo......this is reliably consistent with more than enough expression

I suggest you to listen to the restored version of Barrios playing himself and you realized that almost all the transcriptions are wrong and that he 'play' also with the tempo. kzbin.info/www/bejne/baGxk3yZpZWMm5I He is not like following the tempo exactly and the duration of certain musical notes are different than in the transcriptions. Yeah there's some stretches involved for sure but if I can manage it to a reasonable degree, I'm sure a lot of people can also with enough practice and patience. Barrios is a genius and a joy to play. Thanks my friend

Wow! This is so different from the williams version I'm used to, but I feel it's much more faithful to the 'waltz'-ness of the piece. It sounds more as though it is written for an orchestra with a conductor pushing and pulling the tempo and dynamics much more expressively. Bravo!
