I think I've found my new favorite guitar player... Its simply amazing what these young players (Thomas Viloteau, Andrea de Vitis, Xavier Jara etc) can do with the guitar nowadays. Its miles ahead of anything I've heard before. The most incredible thing is that personality and musicality are now combined with a sublime technique and precision. It allows for very fresh interpretations of old classics. These are exciting times for classical guitar fans.

this is the last piece i learned to play and performed before i left college and got a job... more than 10 years ago. people probably dont realize how difficult this piece is.

They must not have eyes and ears lol.. Seriously though I get what you mean.. I can play his waltz in D n G and La Cathedral,, Haven't attempted this piece, but on the whole people do definitely not fully understand the complexity'involved unless they play themselves

Ive been listening to classical guitar since the '70s and until the last several years, John Williams was the only one I ever heard perform it (aside from myself, which I had to transcribe from the record because I couldn't find the music to it).
