Hey, Sandra, I am listening to quite a few teachers you included. I'm an older gentleman and at times it takes a while for me to get it. But thanks for this lesson because you've explained it perfectly to me in a manner I think I could continuously study. The inversion voicings were buggin' me here in Indiana just outside of Chicago. Thanks for getting me on the right track with this. Slowly I'm learning to play. THANKS AGAIN❗❤️

@@stevedouglas7375 that's for sure. I've learned much more from a year of her videos than in 3 years of private lessons and books. Thank you for another great lesson, Sandra. I have a really basic question about inversions. Other than the lowest note (3rd for first inversion, 5th for second inversion, etc.) does the order of the other notes above matter? The reason I ask is that I have seen online references that specifically say the first inversion has the 3rd on bottom "with the root note one sixth above it." Does it matter where the root is as long as the 3rd is the lowest tone?
@GuitarversumSandraSherman4 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter. But some constellations just don't make much sense. There's something called low level intervalls, which means you shouldn't go below certain intervalls, when you're in a really low register on the guitar.
