Its so brutal, then out of nowhere a melodic solo. Im liking the style of new Cannibal Corpse.

Now why doesn't Guitar World cover more stuff like this instead of the 80th article on the pentatonic scale or Angus Young scratching his nuts?

Seeing that Rectifier sitting stage left is like seeing Erik's older brother watching being proud, with how much love he's shown the Rectifier over the years.

He actually didn't use them that much until playing with cannibal. His main rig is a JCM 800 with a tube screamer

The control and percission this guy has is insane.By far the coolest riff I've heard in 20 years...This guy will bring cc to another level...got to be one of the best metal axe men ...That solo was so amazing...The talent is just off the charts..

Erik, is that the same Iron Bird you played in Ripping Corpse the night you opened for Excel & Dark Angel @ the Trocadero in Philly, back in 1988?!?! 🤘🤳🍻🍺🥃☠️🤘

Losing Pat the way they did was heartbreaking because he was such a presence on stage and a beast of a player, his riffs are so fast, technical and brutal. It's soooo fuckin good they have Erik because the transition is so smooth, they haven't lost anything, picked up where they left off, and Erik's riffs and playing style molds perfectly with Cannibal Corpse, and his knowledge, production skills and professionalism only adds more depth to what they can do as a collective. I haven't listened to the whole new album yet, but what I've heard so far is ear shattering candy. Awesome stuff 🤘🤘

Used To have a red Ironbird as my main axe for years. The neck dive is crazy, but resting your forearm on the body like Erik does rebalances it perfectly. It is actually quite comfortable to play. Feels a bit like a Gibson Firebird.
@gregnorvell97303 жыл бұрын
That was awesome! Looks like he's gonna snap his ironbird in half with that extreme down picking!

I watched a video recently of Erik going on about how much he loved Marshall heads. When I heard he’d be filling in for Pat on this new album, the first thing I thought was, “You can’t play on a Cannibal album and NOT use a Mesa Rec.” And it seems he’s stayed true to the Cannibal sound.

My God!!!! The chord changes in this song are just ridiculous. One of the hardest progressions I can remember attempting to play. I'm sure there's something, but nothing else comes to mind right now.
