What makes Doug a pro: He understands the signature elements of whatever act he's supporting, and embraces them. Then he fucking crushes them with intense articulation, swinging feel, and mindblowing solos.

Doug is a riff master, definitely. I love how he develops and applies a new riff in mine with the musical blueprint of the band he is working for. Spontaneous idea: If he and Richie Faulkner did a project together that would definitely turn into a great riff-based thunderous album 🤘🏻

Sounding righteous, as ever. Tone for days Gibson been moaning about product placement. Well that Scala solves a problem. And Dimarzio moaning about cream bobbins. Guess they were called out too. Sticking it to everyone 👊🏼🤘

Didn't Doug have a signature Jet city amp?
@BramEngelenMusic5 ай бұрын
@@jesseparrish9198 Nope, ENGL designed a prototype Doug Aldrich Signature amp back in 2006 based on the Ritchie Blackmore model and his personal Cameron modded Marshall JMP but with a tweaked circuit and an EL34-based power section instead. That deal didn't go through and after noting down some more ideas from a.o. Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Scott Gorham and Vivian Campbell after they tried the prototype, they did eventually release it under the name 'Artist Edition 100' - which is still in production
