Maybe the confusion is that you mention to leave your index finger where it is when transitioning. But the pinky goes down on the same string so the index isn't actually doing anything, which is why it isn't in the illustration.

@@scoobykvn good point no need to show it in green because it would confuse some people if shown in the diagram, index is left for speed of transition - maybe it could be shown in light grey to illustrate finger there but not sounding note
