Boro is a traditional Gujarati nashto recipe. This authentic Gujarati breakfast dish is very easy and quick to make. Also it is very healthy for your morning breakfast. Gujarati Boro is prepared using fada i.e. daliya. Enjoy this recipe when it is hot. This Gujarati recipe consists of very few ingredients. Do try out this recipe and enjoy the taste of this authentic old Gujarati recipe.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Cup Cracked Wheat (Fada)
2 Cups of Buttermilk (Chaas)
1 Cup of Water
3-4 Finely Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
1-1.5 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
Salt
Ghee
Procedure:
1. Roast cracked wheat (fada) and let it cool down. Grind it coarsely.
2. Now take this grinded fada in a bowl, add buttermilk, water, salt, finely chopped green chillies and finely chopped ginger. Mix well.
3. Heat some ghee in a kadhai and add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add the prepared mixture and stir well.
4. On medium gas cook it. Close lid and cook for 5-10 minutes.
5. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Boro is ready.
