Good times were had. So depending on where you are along Florida's coast, and the time of year, the wave height/speed (and riptides) can vary greatly. I was in Destin/Panama City for a few days last month, and the waves there were significantly larger/more violent than the waves in your video here. They had the yellow and red flags out when I was there.
@MetalDetectingNYCКүн бұрын
I did a video in FLA when the hurricane came. Things were really moving. I know that even the great lakes have rip currents, im just saying that it is less extreme than the Atlantic coast which has a longer fetch (distance the wind can blow and create wave momentum).

Hey Merrill, did you use the dive mode?
@MetalDetectingNYCКүн бұрын

@lisacallaway4421Күн бұрын
Merrill, if I am using my antennae wire attached to coil, can't I use my regular headphones searching in the surf? I don't have the bone conduction headphones, just wireless. I am not getting my head underwater. And what is a "ground grab"? Thanks for the tips!
@MetalDetectingNYCКүн бұрын
You can use your regular headphones as long as the remote is over the surface of the water. If it goes below the water will disrupt the super fast link to your headphones. The solution is the amazing bone conduction headphones. To do a ground grab, hold down the pinpoint button and pump your coil up and down. The Deus 2 will calibrate to the ground. That is arguably the most important thing that you could do. Try to do it several times per hunt. Tune in to when the ground changes. When you feel a difference do a ground grab.
@lisacallaway4421Күн бұрын
So a ground grab is just a ground balance?
