I used to go out every summer with a crew of guys in the late 70’s with Eastmans. A friend of ours who had money would charter the whole boat for 20 of us. We literally would fill 40 gallons trash barrels full of fish. Cod 40” long we’re not rare. Nobody even wanted the pollack. And for giggles we’d go mackerel fishing usually towards the end of the day with little jigs and light spinning reels. You couldn’t cast fast enough there were so many mackerel. Those were the days. Thanks for the video. Brought back good memories.

Good to see you back posting on the regular. the longer form videos are so much better. I went to college in RI so I extra like the RI coverage. Keep up the great work, I'll be up there in early September hopefully I'll run into you. And yeah a halibut would be a dream fish for me also.

Eastmans just posted they have caught 5 halibut so far this year, and I’ve been hitting that boat for a decade. I assure you, 5 in one year is amazing

Good boat, nice crew only little crowdy on the rails. I usually use shinny jigs plus teaser . This way eliminate dog fish. Also in autumn season fishing much better .

Always look forward to your videos and glad you’re still making them. I know it might be a pain in the ass but they are very much enjoyed and appreciated. Great dogfish ending as well.

I was just kayak fishing in Hampton tonight. Funny to see this video. We have a pretty active New Hampshire Kayak Fishing group up here, if you ever want to give it a try. My buddy and I go For jumbo cunner and cod when the season is open.

“Barn Door” halibut have always been on the bucket list for North East fishermen, but so hard to come by! At least you had bathtub like sea conditions.

Yea I want to catch a halibut too. I’m just happy there is a chance I can catch one east coast instead of flying to Alaska or Cali.

Right on chris diffrent. Thought you getum on lures too back in the day diamond jigs

U want to use a diamond jig or viking of some sort with a teaser up above
@WoodisGood82 Жыл бұрын
You need a spoon or cod jig. 17 oz is the most popular. I got a 60 lb halibut on the big cod jig about 15 years ago but the cod will hit that jig at times more than bait.

I love party boat fishing as you get chance to meet fellow anglers and share stories. Great idea to bring a cooler of ice on board to get fish ready to cut. I hope to see you sometime on boat fishing with GrubbZ. Really enjoy your vids. All the best Chris
