It means “Spun In gold”. Faroe Islands is a self-governing part of Denmark, like Greenland . They stayed in the union with Denmark when Norway left and become a independent state in 1814. And yes, Eivør is fantastic!

The Faroe Islands are not part of Scandinavia. Scandinavia is only Denmark, Norway and Sweden. But it's part of the Nordic countries.

Hi Ginger, Hi Mike... I saw Eivor live in Cologne last Friday... and it was MAGICAL !
