What I wanna know is, why wouldn't they leave the school. I understand that it's obviously based on an episode and it's a kids show, and logic isn't really a thing in kids shows. But why would they stay in the Hotspot instead of going home and locking the infected in the school.

I always thought it was weird that Anais got infected in the actual episode. She seems way smarter than everyone. At least enough not to be so reckless and end up infected. Than again she might have been worried about her brothers to not think rationally enough. I just wish we got to see her working together with Mrs. Simian. Since we never really got to see how their relationship as teacher, and student were in the entire show. We don't even know who her teachers are. It's just pure speculation if you only watch the show.

Oh so, someone made a horror version of the episode. With the "animation" being just warping the picture and flipping it, Along with voices being off while occasionally using voice clips from the show. Also if you want to see how the episode go, It's called The Joy (Season 3, Episode 4). To keep it short in the actual episode Gumball and Darwin are upset, Richard gives them a Wonder Hug, which slowly cause them to be joyful, Miss Simon being the teacher that she is, prefers the students being miserable, throughout the episode others are being hugged and becoming joyful, Miss Simian being the lone survivor finds a cure which is miserable music, in order to change everyone back, she needs to get to Principle Brown's office to play it on the intercom, she get's around by faking being joyful, but because of a student breaking a school rule, she ends up blowing her cover, to which she is unable to play the music over the intercom where she's in an office making her final message, she ends up getting hugged by Darwin and Gumball causing her to be joyful ending her recording, the end of the episode is a pre-recording of Principle Brown foolishly playing with a broom.

@@erreyakendo8290 It's more on with being inspired by just the entire genre of zombie horror, but has similarities to 2007 Diary of the Dead, REC, and 2008 remake of Quarantine. And yeah, instead of it starting with someone getting bitten, it's two people getting a powerful hug, that slowly turns them into massive joyful people, who infect other people.
