Gumby - Mirrorland (original unused ending)

Uploaded for archival reasons. I recently found out that in a 1988 redubbed version of the 50s episode “Mirrorland” there is an entirely different ending that went unused in other releases of the episode.

That alternate ending is from the 'sister' episode "Lost and Found", and it does exist with the original soundtrack.

It was likely a deleted scene, and I believe this was used right before the dump truck tipped over the mirror Gumby was in.

Actually, that alternate ending got used when "Mirrorland" was split up into two 6-minute shorts in the early 1960s, in the "Lost and Found" half. I suspect the editors found they still had that unused footage and decided to work it into the "Lost and Found" version. For the recent remastered version that re-edits them back into their original 11-minute length, they used the "I got it!" ending because that's what was always used in the finished original version. (And I will admit, I do kind of like it better, with the way Gumby triumphantly says "I got it!")

Lost and Found was made in 1959.
