Wow I had no idea this game existed! I thought Metal Slug was created from scratch but this game is the precursor to Metal Slug, I see alot of similarities, in the sound effects and stage designs, Neo Geo has the best shooters!

@@SuperUkcats I concur. Metal Slug came out in '96. Gun Force II (known in Japan as Geo Storm) was released in '94.

Didn't like the idea that the game doesn't end, it just loops back to the beginning constantly. So if you were too good at the game, you would end up staying at the arcade all day or until you had enough and give someone else a free game There's actually a way to soft lock the game. At 14:54 a few second passes before your character automatically moves on towards the next screen. If you hang on the ropes over the pit on the left side and jump straight up without pressing any directions as the transition kicks in, your character will fall straight down the pit, and the audio will slowly decreases until it stops completely and the game will lock up until the arcade operator reset it

1) why did the final boss have boobs , 2) why did they bother animating jiggle physics, and 3) why am I the only one commenting on it? As others have said, very cool gameplay and impressive graphics! Nice to see how it evolved from Gun Force 1.

1) Por que o último chefe é uma "rainha", tem o DNA da menina que você salva no game(tanto que até o som que ela faz lembra muito a da menina quando você resgata ela). Infelizmente não colocaram uma história pois a Idem ja tinha finalizado sua produção de jogos e meio que o jogo não saiu completo(motivo pelo qual os designs saíram e criaram a NAZCA e daí veio o Metal Slug, da mesma equipe. Diversos sprites foram reutilizados(o barbudo no helicóptero com as pernas da mina q vc salva por exemplo, devem ter achado isso engraçado e deixaram no game. Posteriormente eles usaram esse mesmo conceito em Metal Slug( soldados sequestrado usados em experiências mas no caso foi na criação dos zumbis da última fase do Metal Slug 3).
