Gun Free Zones make you safer they said but is that have any logic behind it? What locations that you travel to make you the most vulnerable to attack? Gun Free Zones lead you into the false idea of protection. They may even have the opposite effect from what they are intending to do. I won't take my family unnecessarily into Gun Free Zones any longer.

Thank you for a well thought out and articulate presentation of the problem that gun free zones have caused in this country. I view them as a good intention gone wrong. I also believe that it can be repaired, by arming school staff. I am 68 years old, and I was raised in a small West Texas town, where when I was in high school there were full gun racks in the back windows of the pickup trucks in the parking lot. The trucks weren’t even locked. We never had any threats that I am aware of from anyone in our school. Yes I grew up in a less information overload, world, but I also grew up in a more disciplined word were teachers actually had authority (good or bad). As children of my age group we were raised mostly in two parent God fearing homes, that gave permission to the neighbors to help them teach us respect and right from wrong.

Completely agree, I was thinking the same thing recently. Guns dont need to be banned, the people who would do harm to others need to be punished. Wish you would have kept the H word out of the title. But otherwise, I completely agree.

Yup, I have 4 boys that are yours ages and we homeschool them! God is absolutely allowed and taught in our school, we also teach firearms safety, we teach Love, honor, respect, hard work and boys are boys and girls are girls, and we are to love women and respect them and honor them. The world just needs more Love and God!

Food for thought. I know we don't want to disobey the law, but it's better to obey God than man. An immoral law is no law at all. God has given us the responsibility to protect our families and innocents around us. This is a God-given responsibility. So maybe we should be less concerned about whether or not to carry in a gun-free zone because in obeying man's law, we may be abdicating God's. I know this is a complicated question, so I'm not saying we should go one way or the other...just something to ponder. In the meantime, I agree. I avoid gun-free zones. If they don't want me there, I don't want to be there.

Think about his mindset, he watched you speaking from the heart on many things and what he chose to do with his time is comment on what your kid said being untrue with no way to prove his point what so ever. The the point im making, is that he/she/it/the/they is only looking for a emotional response out of you because people like this have let their brain become wired in a way that makes them feel good by making others feel bad... responding in any way to a brain like that at all only reinforces that wiring and makes it harder to unwire. I enjoy and appreciate what you are doing with your growing platform and making the enormous effort it takes to add to the world in a POSITIVE way rather then some people in this world who depend on little blinking lights in their face arranged in a certain way that makes their brain feel good.. keep doing what youre doing man!
