This clip is just amazing! The camera works for shooting and every move the Gundam makes in a view frame really lured me in. Seems like the Gundam gave a look at the camera between 3:03~3:08 and I guess you got a great camera position to have it all. I loved the footage of a moving Gundam in front of the crowded spectators who are raising their smartphones and the beautiful city of Yokohama`s skyline behind the factory dock in a whole picture frame. To put both of them in really like a movie came real which is a job well done! The sense of wonder and reality coexist to boost an excitement that makes us witness a historical moment. The last pose he assumed might be an homage to the famous "The Last Shooting" which we all know. The clip is not just showing the Gundam`s precise mechanical details but also is filled with great cinematography. This is a very good video and thanks for uploading it.

This is an engineering marvel. One of the long standing engineering facts is that any free-standing or "supported" structure of this scale will collapse under it's own weight. Aka.. if it lifted a leg the leg would buckle from it's own mass and torsional stresses on the structure or joint. It's just a "physics" thing. To achieve something that is articulated on this scale, even if it is not fully free-standing is an engineering miracle in action. Bipedal structure at this scale has even as short as a decade ago been considered ABJECTLY IMPOSSIBLE. From an engineering stand-point this is a hop, skip, and a jump from fully free-standing, and then mobile/self propelled in the same way the stages were solved in bipedal robotic self-walking by General Atomics over the course of about 2 and a half decades.

@@meatybtz it is not impossible as you can clearly see, it just requires money, time, and resources. Not even close to an engineering "miracle". You underestimate human ingenuity too much. Humans were able to go to the moon and back decades ago, are able to land robots on asteroids and planets, are able to build gigantic nuclear powered aircraft carriers that can single-handedly rival the entire airforce of some countries, able to create miles-long particle accelerators, etc. A big, moving toy-replica is nothing when compared to those engineering achievements, those are true engineering "miracles".
@123nicanor3 жыл бұрын
@@sepg5084 STFU, don't downplay this technological marvel. Just because it can't fly, transport objects, or KILL people doesn't mean it's nothing. Japan gathered the best engineers in the world to build this thing and that says something. Of course, to a layman like yourself, you wouldn't understand the inner workings on how they were able to achieve this moving gundam, thus you won't be able to fully appreciate it. So i repeat, STFU.
