Coming back to this after building the model makes it even more incredible. It's almost literally like a 1:1 model kit. I recognize particular pieces, slots, etc. Really gives you an appreciation for the design talent and construction passion.

This and the animatronic RX-78 under construction... two of the most ambitious pieces of art I've ever seen. I really hope travel is feasible next year. The RX is slated to only stay up for a year, starting this October. Once in a lifetime experience... until the day an extraterrestrial threat defaults us into constructing mobile suits. ....they'll probably just make another one.

The moment you stand on the shoulder of that statue and look 50 feet below, you realize a real-life Gundam would be a death trap for the pilot. If the robot ever falls over, you basically fall from the roof of an 8-story building. They'll have to scrape your remains off the cockpit.

Understand that a single shot from the Beam Magnum would absolutely vapourize an Aircraft Carrier in one shot, just completely gone. Everything in front of it, and behind it as well, and the heat given off would boil the very ocean. The thing has the kind of armour that can shrug off antitank rounds and even some shipborne cannons. It is a very good thing that weapons like this is fictional.
