This is so much more amazing in real-life. I remember Yoshiyuki Tomino (Creator of Gundam) wrote a comment on one of the walls there where he mentions his biggest dream was to have an actual gundam walking and they really did their research for it, but it being impossible due to simple physics and the weights being too much. He also apologized that this was the most he could do at this point in time as he was not able to give us a fully walking gundam. Love that guy.

A target that huge would be completely impractical for militarized combat. As cool a concept as Gundams are, humanoid mechs of that scale just aren't practical and would make easy target practice for literally any motorized military vehicle. Jets. Tanks. Hell, hand held rocket launchers. Landmines if they can't fly. If there's explosives involved, that thing is going down just as easy as anything else that's man made.
@Marcodiazgrey2 жыл бұрын
@@SeraphimDragon right have you seen nothing of Gundam. If this thing was operational it will crush everything and everyone in its path. Its nuclear reactor alone is grounds for " Maybe we don't shoot at a literal neutron bomb with legs". Tanks crushed. Jets just yeeted out the sky Boats sucked into the water like toys. A real gundam is just terrifying.
@donaldj99872 жыл бұрын
@@Marcodiazgrey Um, while I’m inclined to agree on some of it, several works show mobile suits are still vulnerable to tanks, such as getting shot in the backpack (Zeonic Front). Part of what made the Gundam and other mobile suits so tough against tank and aircraft rounds was because they were armed with different armor alloy compounds that made them absurdly tough. All of those which are at least SEVERAL decades away if not more, and some of them are just fictitious in general. With real world technology and alloys at our disposal, it’s a lot easier for these things to get mulched by conventional fire from tanks, aircraft, ships, etc etc. They’d be intimidating for sure, but let’s not remember we don’t even have a fraction of the technology that was used in the original series in terms of mobile suit production, let alone weaponry which will likely not exist for at least 20-30 years and that’s best case. On current, today standards, mobile suits would be mulched by a lot of our current technology. Further development and refinement? Yeah, they’d be game changers. But not right now, and definitely not for several decades.

gyroscopic stabilization has been a thing for the DIY crowd using off the shelf components and some 'simple' tinkering for years... there is even free code out there for ya if you can't hack it yourself :D This thing moves too slow to require stabilization yet hehe a small nuclear reactor may be neat... but how about simply betavoltaics.. it doesn't have to be a whole active reactor... just super radioactive ;) hmm may not give enough power output .. maybe with a capacitor ?

This is so awesome!😍 If they ever make an actual real Mobile Suit it would be a game changer for war. I definitely would sign up to be a Gundam pilot if it ever happened!😎👍🏻

They're going to need unobtainium first and much more powerful batteries (or even nano nuclear reactors), but even then it would get blasted by drones 2km away.

@@LutraLovegood That's why it will be built out of "Gundamium Alloy".😉 No worries then.

Feels kind of like you are missing the point of Gundam
Notice they are making improvements every year, I have no doubt this thing will eventually fly.

It won't. It's only for show. It's useless and nothing more than a gimmick just like fake monsters at a horror show attraction. P.s. Didn't say robots/Androids won't be a part of our world and very soon. It's just that the one on this video sucks
@suhendiabdulah60612 жыл бұрын
@@Psalm-yg6yi unless they make mini nuclear fusion reactor then big robot will not become mainstream...... you know that robot is used because long range guide missile and radio cant be used because minovsky particle make most modern arm obsolete
@SilverBull-et Жыл бұрын
@@Psalm-yg6yi can you make one though? Don't even need money, just use sticks(make a model out of sticks). If you can't even begin to comprehend how something is made and you already decide it sucks for no reason and just want to be a wanabee edgy man child that can't appreciate innovation while you yourself is without any skills to speak of, then for the love of God, just keep it to yourself. But if you can make something even remotely decent, then you're good; however, if you're just speaking out of your ass because you don't have any skills whatsoever and is just being envious about it like an unemployed freeloader, then you better find a job and help yourself be better.
