If you basically want a summary, it's basically a mobile Suit from the sky. a ancient religious organization, tried to consolidate power So they don't repeat the same mistakes from Universal Century, A dude from the moon basically tried to make Earth break the Technology taboo and rearm themselves. A country known as Ameria Doesn't want the ancient religious organization to have a monopoly over batteries And then the moon takes notice of that and starts military activity to try to take Earth back, And then a subset from Venus also wants to take Earth back. which is the. Reconguista part in the name of the series And our two protagonists are from the moon. And then chaos ensues. Also, the G Self is not a gundam. There are no gundam in this series It's just called that so Bandai would bank roll the Series. And depending on your point of view, it's either before or after turn

Bellri was somewhat interested in Aida in the first few episodes. That quickly changed (just like everything in this show) and only to be "explained away" that they were siblings in the last part of the anime.

IMO Tomino (or someone else assisting in directing this mess) wanted to show how utilitarian the seats are. They're "more than just a seat", and pilots engaged in long-duration conflicts can relieve themselves on the seat.

I remember watching the tv version of this show when it was released. I have no idea whay the story is about, and I genuinely hated it. The plot makes no sense, the characyers have no charisma, the worldbuilding and mech engineering is non existent and they keep saying weird keywords that have no meaning. The movie version is kinda better but still the damage has been done
