Here's your look at Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance in this latest trailer for the upcoming Netflix anime series. Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance stars Celia Massingham.
In the year Universal Century 0079, a state of war began when the Principality of Zeon declared its independence from the Earth Federation government. In the war's opening stages, the Zeon forces maintained an advantage thanks to the effectiveness of their new weapon, the mobile suit. However, they lacked the fighting strength to fully conquer Earth, and the war became a stalemate.
Eleven months after the outbreak of war, a base in Zeon-occupied Eastern Europe is captured by the Federation Forces. A Zeon composite battalion is sent to recapture the base, and among its members are Solari and her Red Wolf Squadron, a mobile suit team that has only just arrived from space.

I'm super excited that they went with the bad guy's perspective to show how much of a monster a Gundam really is. You kinda forget that when you constantly see the perspective of the Gundam pilots, but they really are a beastly mech that should be feared. I'd love to see a similar series in the Wing universe where we can see Zero, Heavy Arms, etc... from the other side's perspective, and the eventual development of the Tallgeese mobile suit.

That looks like a customized Gudam EZ8 which was already a customized Gundam Ground Type for commander usage, seeing as how the head looks extremely similar, and going off the fact that they're showing the Gouf Custom again (Both from 008th MS Team). This one has V-Fins on its head akin to the original Gundam, the "Horns". Would be pretty interesting since we didn't really get to see much of the EZ8 beyond 008th MS Team.

It's just the art style they chose. For a long time, there was conflicting artwork about what the camera suite of the GM looked like under the protective screen. Some old art depicts it as a monoeye, others depict it as dual eyes, and on later models, as a crescent shaped panorama of multiple cameras, like a compound eye.
