It's not removed. Chairman Gilbert simply doesn't include the footage. There is no need for Shinn to realize that anyway, since the message the Chairman was trying to convey is the existence of Logos. Even if Freedom didn't directly kill any ZAFT unit when it intervened, its actions are considered hostile to ZAFT, and by extension PLANTs. Freedom's intervention caused unnecessary deaths, in ZAFT's view. As for the commando raids, while Athrun was wrong in dismissing Kira's words, Kira himself didn't provide any evidence of his claim. Plus, Kira himself didn't exactly point the finger at Gilbert since he has no way of knowing who ordered the attempt on Lacus

Shinn and Stella apologists in the comments are so weird. But I understand why. When they first saw it, they were emo angst teenagers, so they identified heavily with Shinn, who is basically an emo angst teenager with a literal manic pixie dream girl (Stella), just like them. So everything they do must be justified, and they are actually innocent and good, while the whole world is bad, and its all Kira "Jesus" Yamato's fault for everything because he didn't die for everyone's sins hard enough. And then they just rewrite the plot and themes of the story as well as the events to suit their own justifications to keep playing Kira and his twin sister, Cagalli for everything. I can understand them, but man, the characters do have some accountability for their actions, especially Shinn. Mainly for being a complete dumbass for 95% of GSD. He only gets better in the movie. Which is kind of sad, because he had the least character growth out of all the characters (Yzak having the most).

본편의 신 아숙하야 애조에 후쿠닭이 대놓고 비호감 캐릭터로 만들었으니 구제할 길이 없지요. 문제는 배은망덕한(!) 신 아숙하와는 확연히 달라야 할 킬러토마토가 의외로 '패션 불살'이라는 점입니다. 타 작품인 푸른 유성 SPT 레이즈너의 주인공 에이지를 보면 왜 킬러토마토가 패션 불살인지를 확연히 알 수 있습니다. 1기 한정이기는 해도 에이지의 이런 태도는 자기가 죽더라도 사람은 못 죽인다는 점에서 진정한 불살의 화신이라 할 수 있습니다.

The EA literally killed everyone's parents (yeah Shinn's parents were killed by the EA gundamns, and Stella), but yeah, lets just hate Kira enough to tell lies just so you can hate him. Your parents died? Kira's fault. EA set nukes and wiped out half of Plant again? Kira's fault. Your cat got worms? Kira's fault.

자프트 크루들의 항의는 의외로 정당한 구석이 있습니다. 하이네가 스텔라와 1:1로 싸울 때는 하이네가 유리하게 전세를 이끌어나갔지요. 그런 참에 킬러토마토가 느닷없이 '난입'하여 하이네와 신 아숙하를 '무장해제' 시켰으니 그만큼 '죽을 확률'이 상당히 높아졌던 것이지요. 적확한 인용이라 하기는 그렇지만 '때리는 시어미보다 말리는 시누이가 더 밉다'라는 말이 이런 경우에는 타당성을 지닌다 할 것입니다.

@@역사애호가 일리있는 말씀입니다만, 리마스터 한정만으로 본다면 당시 상황에선 키라가 스텔라를 1차적으로 경파 (앞다리 파손) 시킨후 공격해오는 선빵치는 하이네를 반격해서 무장해제 시켰습니다. 그후 하이네가 아스란쪽으로 붙었다면 죽지 않았겠지요. 그러나 하이네가 키라를 공격하려는 모션을 취하면서 겹쳐지는 바람에 키라를 타켓팅하던 스텔라한테 통수맞고 사망. 즉, 상대하던 적을 공격한 기체를 '우군'인지 아닌지 판단 하려는 시도만 있었어도 살았을텐데 말이죠. 저는 솔직히 애초에 카가리의 무능으로 벌어진 전투라 보는내내 고구마한가득 먹었습니다.
