Couple of points: - Rutter played almost exclusively as a 10 last season for winner, not off the wing and especially not from the left (Summerville’s position); and - Ravi seemed to indicate that Oliver Skipp plays LB / CM in equal measure. Skipp only filled in rarely last season when Udogie was out and Spurs were short on CB’s with VDV out (Ben Davies moved to CB and Skipp deputised as an auxiliary inverting LB for a handful of games). Skipp is undoubtedly a CM and nothing more, a bit of a water carrier and yes I agree with you both…. A huge overpay. Thanks guys

Topic suggestion for future pod: opportunity cost in the transfer market. E.g. I can get this player for a good fee/wages relative to their ability but signing them means I don't have the budget for a top target in a position of greater need. How do you optimise this? When, if ever, is a deal so good that you just go for it, even if it prices you out of other top targets? Constructive criticism: I like Ravi and I don't doubt he's an excellent analyst but some of his takes are either wild or factually wrong e.g. discussing Sander Berge's profile at Burnley in the championship when he was at Sheffield United that season. I think a bit more research/editing is needed here as otherwise his input is generally solid.

Sander Berge was at Sheffield United in 22/23, not at Burnley!

I could imagine Skipp being worth 25m to Spurs given that they are lacking players home grown at club to register in Europe. For Leicester though..

Ravi is probably going to suggest Xavi as Barca’s Gundogan replacement
