I don't fear butter - I embrace it. There's always good quality butter (either Kerrygold or Costco grass fed butter) sitting on my table. I'll go through most of a stick of butter with each meal. Whether I'm having a steak, ground beef, or part of a roast, I'll usually have a bit of butter with every bite. This makes it easy to get my fat to protein ratio where I want it to be, even if I'm eating leaner cuts of beef. It's yummy, satiating, and gives me great energy throughout the day.

There are 2 exceptions: 1) If you have one or two copies of the APOE4 allele. 2) If you are a sterol hyper absorber. For these two groups, avoid eating saturated fat and cholesterol. Dr. Gundry talked about this in his "Dietary Management of the APOE4 Gene" presentation at AHS 2016.

Don't forget butter has cholesterol which is very hard to get rid of one it builds up in your blood vessels.1 stick seems way too much, it's like you are eating it for the pleasure of its taste tbh. Might wanna look into that first imo

I am 60 and eat massive amounts of butter. But, I am very active, including aerobic. I have been told that butter is the most perfect food you can eat, as long as you burn it off. I think this is the case for all dairy products. I say, go ahead and love dairy, as long as you are burning it off. As soon as you stop burning it off, it turns on you. Seems obvious. I have stopped drinking milk (accept in very small amounts) because I can drink a whole gallon in one sitting. I like it so much that I had to quit. I also eat a fair amount of cheese. But, I try to do research on the healthiest. (Mozerella, hard cheeses, blue cheese, no bries, etc…) Also, I never worry about the details (A1, A2, Goat, Irish, etc…) I just buy what’s the cheapest. (I do try to ear kosher.) I consider myself to be pretty healthier. I am able to run up steep hills, and surf in the Pacific 2 or 3 days a week for up to 2 or 3 hrs, with lots of paddling. You can probably put just about anything into your body, as long as you burn it off. My my exercise tapers off, I become much more conscious of the intake. You could live on an IV of the right stop, and lay in bed all day, and still have pretty good blood, if that’s the lifestyle you want. I love the great outdoor!
