Good points. I was really considering the Krytac LMG because I like the idea of the versatility of the shrike kit, but because of those drawbacks I'm glad I went with the Mk46 for a dedicated LMG role

The multi compartment box magazine is interesting in my opinion. The tilting to load more bb's almost could serve as a sudo "reload". Being able to fire all 3500 rounds continuously is kind of excessive in my opinion considering that the airsoft:real ratio of ammo capacity is like 30:1 in lmg's and only 4:1 in standard ole midcaps since a standard m4 midcap holds around 120 bb's, 4 times as much as stanag 30 rounder, yet an lmg box mag holds 2500-5000 rounds, 25-50 times as much as a real 50-100 round lmg belt.

None of the fields near me will acknowledge this thing as a lmg, and require semi auto only if you run this. Have to have a legitmate support, m249, m60, pkp, m240, etc. to run full auto.

Good! Your field has it right lol. Same with the G&G LMG; Yeah they have the option to run a box mag but I'm pretty sure that both the G&G and Krytac LMGs don't just have the top "loading rack" that I suppose makes them an LMG, but it's probably because they have a lower receiver that can accept stanag mags! My M249 can take stanag mags yes but it loads into the upper receiver and not the bottom.

The gunner on my team use this and he had the issue with the hand gaurd dropping off happen to him! LUCKILY i found a cable tie lose on the ground and managed to pull off a quick field repair whilst under hard attack. DID NOT think of loctite so thanks for the tip on that one =) where did you get the 5.56 dumbie belt as been looking but no luck in the uk ? any tips be great great video keep it up

I bought a 11.1 3000mah titan battery and ran 3 box mags in it before needing to change it.

Always wanted a shrike. Older models were 1000.00 kits. Now you can buy krytec lmg upper throw one on a m4.

Lion Claws has NOT traditionally allowed the Krytac LMG on the field. They do allow Shrikes but not the Krytac. I tried to get an answer on why not and apparently the only answer they will give is that they hate Krytac. Useful answer.

The LMG Enhanced inner barrel length is 280mm on website and user’s manual but I took out my LMG Enhanced inner barrel that bought in Nov. 2017, the inner barrel length is 310mm? What’s going on?

Have been considering a lmg originally was going to go for the ‘shrike’ variant on G&G cm16 but like you said milsim issues etc. went onto looking at a&k variants of the m249 but have put off buy the issues with the box mag and the weight (I’m not built like alfonso). Back to shrike variants as was thinking if you run a full auto only RIF here in the 🇬🇧 we don’t have the min engagement distance you have in the 🇺🇸 but sites I’ve played at you can’t full auto into a building or out of one so would be pretty limited to open woodland with no buildings otherwise been using sidearm more and carrying around dead weight all day. Seen few reviews now of the krytac version and it seems to be the best. G&G cm16 lmg seen few people comment about feeding issues with the mag that one seems to feed all the box mag in one go maybe this is why krytac have used that door system.

My LMG boxmag falls out sometimes. Also the plastic clip holding the box mag closed has cracked from fatigue, so I use Velcro strapping to hold the door closed, and the mag to the AEG. The 9v battery housing is awful and inconvenient. The wires to connect that same 9v battery are frail.That's all regarding the mag though. My Trident LMG has been amazing otherwise.

I completely agree about the battery connector. I had to disassemble my box mag completely to repair the battery wires. It was FUN getting it all back together again!

How were you able to get the orange tip off? I know there is a threaded screw but I'm having trouble removing it mainly cuz of the giant metal piece under the flash hider.

Unscrew the "giant metal piece" before you try and remove the flash hider. I usually put the orange tip in boiling water to make it easier to remove. Then before you put the "giant metal piece" back on, use blue Loctite to help keep it in place.

No, an LMG is only a support weapon. You pretty much just shoot a curtain of bbs in the enemy direction to suppress them and cover for your teammates. I mean, if ya really wanna use a 4x you can but it's not necessary to do so in my opinion. A simple 1x or so is all you'd really need.

Its a fucking hobby to have fun. I allways laugh at events who dont allow me to play mine, as a former drill isntructor and a soldier who carried the MG3 in the field and on marches... Sometimes i think, civilists will be MilSim only and never more.

Trying to decide between this and the new G&G LMG. I'm not a hardcore milsimer just a novice skirmish player that wants to shoot a bunch of bbs when I play. So I'm having a hard time justifying spending $500 on a gun that I may use for 2-3 games every other weekend.

Well the g&g is 400, for only 80ish more dollars you get a full metal, more accurate, more reliable, faster shooting, and frankly more comfortable gun..... Sooooooooo this is your best bet

Hello, i'm from Colombia. In August of 2019, I bought a Krytac LMG. After just four months the gearbox pinion attached to the motor, broke. I was out of guaranty. So I had to change the pinion for a standard one, playing with it, it blew a fuse. One more game, another fuse blew. The replica heats up a lot in the inside, it already stopped working. Meaning that when I pull the trigger, it tries but won't work. I check the battery and is in good condition. I don't know if I did a good choice with this replica. And here in Colombia I can't find anybody who can fix it for me. Can you help me? I thank you in advance.

An M4 lower receiver? A custom upper receiver that's identical functionally to a standard M4 since the dummy round port is just that, a prop? It's an M4 people come on now..

It's based on the Ares Shrike/Fightlite MCR. It can run both standard M4 mags or feed from a belt. Why make an airsoft replica more complicated than it needs to be?

In RL this would be the Ares Shryke 5.56 And it feeds of a M4 mag or a belt... So, you can live on in the past or you accept, that technology develops further and everything changes. Its a hobby with toy guns. Only Highlander MilSim nabs try to fight such guns. Everytime i see them on the field i simply ignore them as a former soldier who only wants to have some fun and relax with my buddies. And i got to accept the new plastic MG5 over my beloved MG3....
