Those kids that handle the bombs have nerves of steal. I don't want to be within a mile of one of them, and they handle them like they are loaves of bread at the grocery store. Just shows how well they are trained, and how confident they are in that training. AMAZING.... JUST F*N AMAZING! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. The sky jockies get the glory, but we know they can't do it without the ground crews.

Sure glad there are people like you who have the training and presence of mind to be able to do this work. The rest of the system is useless without you guys. Thank You for your service.

To me, these '18 variant's (A-D) are better looking than the E/F's.

I just want to know, the exterior is hard to tell whether it was an F/A-18A, F/A-18A+, F/A-18A++, F/A-18C, or F/A-18C+.

the F/A 18s had sidewinders in the wingtip, probably training

Those F/A-18s have tail hooks for aircraft carrier landing, are they also operated by US Navy ?

Yes they can land and takeoff from carriers... Marines are part of the Navy.

Quang Nguyen, there are many exclusively land-based fighters that also have tail arresting hooks. They serve as emergency breaking system on runways equipped with arresting cables in the same way as on aircraft carriers. This is quite common indeed in air bases that regularly support fighter units.

I once read somewhere, that some civilian engineers and physicians had calculated it´s top speed to be around 2800 km/h at suitable altitude, and around 1700 km/h at sea level. And while the airframe itself will probably allow such speeds, the engineers and physicians did not know specifics on materials used in the canopy and engine. Might very well be that either of these things overheat or break before such speeds could be reached.

Raidergeek34 I was just commenting on that on another channel that posted this. I used to work ARFF on Mcas Beaufort and we were like 50ft from 251 flight line and they never had D models at least while I was there.

in US f18 designed for naval aircraft which mean is they need to take off and land on the carrier if f18 use conformal fuel tanls it will increase weight of their aircraft increase weight mean is landing gear may can be damaged

@stephendahl1594 3 жыл бұрын
@@danielh1708 the F18e/f block 3 is going to have them and the Navy is going to retrofit older E/F's. Why they didn't do it already is beyond me. Better range/fuel economy and smaller radar signature than external tanks.
Which is Better? Flying the F-16 or the F/A-18?
