Perfect finish with the Essence of Steadfast Counter! Anyways, here are some ideas for your non-3 videos. "Favored by Enma" Basically, this challenge is against Jo in YK. Why the title? In Phase 1 (Dragon), most of your damage must be done in Rush- this is a callback to Kuze who is a boxer, hence Rush. Savage taunts not required but give extra flair. In Phase 2 where Jo shifts to Mad Dog, you will mainly use Dragon of course. We can say that Kiryu's final fight against Kuze was because the latter wanted to see if the former can hold up to being a legend. Oh, and challenge as well, no Tiger Drops except as final blow. (Overdrive'd TD finish is a bonus challenge. Equips and Weapons allowed) "And Again." YK2 against Hayashi. Challenge? 1: Brutality at its finest. 2: Try to pull off at least 3 (brutal) Extreme Heat Actions. 3: Ultimate Essence '88? (Extra Bonus: Tiger Drop as the hit that will trigger the Feel the Heat finisher.) "Awaken: Archaic Swordsman K" YK against Shindo, but you're stuck in Dragon, and you must use a Katana(whether picked up or in inventory) to deal most of your damage. Yes, this is the YK variant of your Ishin-style battle against him in K2. Bonus: Finish with the sword Heat Action after performing Essence of Extreme Rush. (I personally call the kiwami actions the "Essence of Kiwami" line of Heat Actions.)

Wow, thank you for the comment. I'll try to answer each one. 1. Not a bad idea, but I feel like it would be kind of dull to just watch Rush style for an entire phase, considering it doesn't deal a lot of damage. As for the MD phase, it's practically impossible to no damage him only using Dragon style without tiger drop. It would be possible if I waited for him to finish the combo, then land 2-3 hits and back off. But it would take a lot of time and it wouldn't be very entertaining. You can only komaki parry 1 move in his MD phase but parries don't do any damage either, so I'm afraid that particular idea would take a lot of tries, but wouldn't be too amusing for the viewers. 2. That would end in less than 30 seconds because 1 ''brutal'' heat action would take away 4-5 of his health bars. And I've already made a ton of Hayashi videos in K2 in the past, I don't think people wanna see them :/ 3. This one is definitely a great idea and I've had it planned for a while now, but never tried it. It's definitely coming in the near future.

what are your thoughts on yakuza 3 as a game and would you rather it was given the Kiwami treatment than a HD remake. As someone who started with 0 and went though the Kiwami's i'm somewhat trepidatious of going backwards when playing 3 for the first time after being spoiled with the prior 3 games. I've heard the combat is alot more defensive and closer to the philosophy of hit and run waiting for your opponent to attack and waiting to counter. I'm kinda worried every fight will feel like Man in black or Serra two very defensive fights that i've heard are closer to how 3 expects you to play the whole game and two fights i disliked quite alot. Do you have any advice in terms of how one should approach 3 in terms of mind set and playstle that differs from the others i've played? Also loved the gameplay brutally elegant as always but serious WTF is that title thought i took a very wrong turn for a sec. LOL
@GUNKSHOTT3 жыл бұрын
Well, I'll answer question by question. 1. Yes, Kiwami 3 would've been neat. 2. The ''combat being defensive'' it's mostly against NPC thugs and goons. You can get aggressive on bosses all you want, they got a different blocking system. 3. About Man in Black and Sera, they are totally not anything you'll get from Yakuza 3. Man in Black and Sera are constantly quickstepping and counter-attacking. The thugs don't evade at all, or counter attack. They just block like maniacs. As for bosses, almost all of them counter attack if you start spamming combos, and some of them evade a lot, some don't. But bosses are definitely the better thing about Yakuza 3 combat. 4. Just play the game man. If you wanna have more fun, play on Normal, or even Easy. Hard difficulty is painful cause they block a lot, but Normal is fun. As for playstyle, it's all up to you, really. Yakuza 3 story is as good as Yakuza stories get. You might even like Yakuza 3 combat. Like I said, on Normal difficulty it's actually a lot of fun. Counters are necessary, you should definitely visit Komaki right after Chapter 5 and learn the parry and tiger drop. And thank you.

@@GUNKSHOTT Thank you very much for your detailed and swift reply. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts on the games i tend to play on hard and then eventually legend but hearing what my friends have told me corroborated by someone as skilled as you in the yakuza community makes me feel fine about playing on normal. My problem with Sera is that he will counter you if you try to hit him even once outside of his designated openings with ether the stunning kick or his counter in phase 2 that doesn't have a telegraph or stance he goes into to do it. Unlike Nistini when he holds his knife in front of him to show he's clearly countering you. i hope 3's bosses are closer to that. What are your personal thoughts on MIB and Sera as fights?
@GUNKSHOTT3 жыл бұрын
@@destruction42k Well, I've learned both of them by heart, and I can no damage them with my eyes closed. Man in black is hideous but that's what makes him fun, in my opinion. As for Sera, he's also a lot of fun and I like the fact that he's difficult because it makes sense story wise.
