It's not CGI. These people literally devote their entire lives to this, including multiple years of higher education to qualify. They track the animals/groups over years sometimes, and record nearly nonstop with fixed cams, and active/drones during the animals active periods, etc. All to educate the general populous...And, they don't make a lot of money at all.
