Watched 5 videos on the brummel splice and this was the only one I could successfully duplicate. Thank you very much for the very informative video and the excellent explanation.

Gosh this is still the best video on the Brummel Splice on KZbin. It has been about 10 months since I had to splice a loop on some new kite line and I could not remember how to do it. So off to KZbin to watch some videos and again struggled through about 6 videos before finding this one again. I have to figure out a way to hotlink this video. Thanks again.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video, it was really helpful. I understand you use a guitar string for the tool but where did you get the handle it attaches to?

Another informative, easy to watch fantastic video! Correct me if I am mistaken but aren't you suppose to reverse the inversion? So that this is no twist where you spliced!?

If you dont have a guitar string or splicing loop I have found that nylon fishing line works well to make a splicing tool especially for thin kite lines

Thanks. This is a well-explained video. How do you make an end knot?

Hey hi Gunmar. Thanks for your videos. They've really helped. Just an FYI, the length of the insert is not relevant to the strength of the brummel knot as it's the knot that does the heavy lifting. The insert or "bury" is just for cosmetic effect. There is no "locking" 🤣. You can pull it off by hand 🤣 However, to make it really strong, I recommend a zig-zag or cross-stitch sew along the bury to secure it properly. I hope my tip helped.
