The video downplays this, but I think by far the most impressive thing is that everything is done to BOTH sides of the gundam. It's one thing to come up with the designs for one side, but copying it perfectly to the other side is on a whole other level. I doubt I could copy my scribbing from one side to another, but this guy is building out TWO new panels and wingtips to be exactly the same size?!? Unreal.

Simply stunning craftsmanship. That you even let us peek into the world of scribing on the level you're capable of, is an honor in itself. Here in the states, that'd be a closely guarded secret you wouldn't soon part with- just to keep competitions from being flooded with the technique. I don't mean that as negatively as it sounds; modelers the world over are a generally friendly, open-to- sharing kind of people... you just tend to keep SOME secrets to yourself, you know? I think, given the over-all tone of my previous comment, that you just might've missed the point, which happens a lot, as intent is hard to convey over text. I wasn't implying that we hoard all our secrets, nor was I speaking to any specific modelers- championship winners or not. Simply paying the man some respect for his skill set, and adding a little anecdotal side note for color. No harm, no foul.
