I've had one for several years. It has been very reliable with cci ammo. I'm guessing that most of the negative comments are from people who have never owned one.

Fun as heck to shoot and accurate too. I have a chrome 22, a black 22. and a black 25. This is a value pistol like a Heritage or a Hi-Point. I have these as well and they're all fairly reliable. I usually take a HP22 to the range with me every time I go.

I have this baby for five years. Very reliable. Very accurate. It is not picky with brand name ammunition as long as it high velocity. CGI, Horton, Aguila, Federal. It eats all. And I especially like Aguila: Cheap and reliable.

I broke one, sent it back to Phoenix Arms and they sent me back a "BRAND" new one. I knew it was a different gun because I marked the one I sent back, plus they sent back an extra mag with it. Good outfit to do business with. I shot close to 5k rounds thrown it..

I got this gun brand new for 120$ last year. Its a really good gun for the money! I've shot about 2-3k rounds through it with only a handful of malfunctions but it was because of bad 22lr ammo. I went ahead and modified it as well so it can function like any other gun. that extra safety is dumb but easy to remove.

Phoenix Arms Company recommends using only Standard Velocity ammo, as the higher pressure ammo might crack your slide or frame. I believe that is for legal reasons. However the velocity of all ammo is figured from a rifle barrel and what you would get from a 2" barrel is quite a bit less. I might as well use up my box of Fiocchi High Velocity and see what happens. Thanks for the great video!

@@gunguy8348 Stay close to standard velocity with something like Federal Automatch or CCI Standard. Stay away from that high velocity stuff in this pistol and replace the main recoil spring with a new one every 1000 rounds or you could get a cracked frame. Parts are super cheap so no excuse not to except laziness/negligence. Its under warranty so you can replace a cracked frame or slide but if you follow the owner manual then you won't need to send in a cracked pistol.

I know this video was made a couple years ago when prices on everything went through the roof, but hearing you say that it was possibly a good deal to get 500 rounds of 22LR ammo for $100 just floors me, when it almost seems like it was yesterday when I had my first 22LR rifle back in the year 2000, and we were literally paying $8.50 for bricks of 550 rounds of federal ammo at Walmart that was actually reliable. Even in 2023 with the prices having gone down since the height of the pandemic, I still cannot believe I'm paying $10 to $15 for boxes of 50 rounds. I remember thinking back then that spending over $6 for a 50rd box of yellow jackets was not worth it. That would be a steal today LOL
