The Rules for this Campaign are:
- Dead is dead. When I die, the campaign ends.
- Full realism settings. Only the external camera is allowed for filming purposes
- Manual Targeting
- No recognition manual for random merchant ships
- Attempt to abide by the historical orders in regards to the London Naval Treaty, Operating Procedures and Restrictions

Keeping producing the videos man, ever since Wolfpack finished his U Boat campaign, I’ve been searching for recent playthroughs of Silent Hunter and yours have this really good quality. It’s relaxing to watch and I can just immerse myself, on a U Boat conning tower getting splashed from the waves

It would be nice to have a game set in that period, with realistic ship handling. I´m not talking about Naval Action, since that one isn´t really realistic with the damage models a far as I can tell, and I also don´t like the focus on Multiplayer with regular progress wipes. Something with a Campaign like the old Pirates, or Sea Dogs games would be nice.....

That was amazing. I've never considered how vulnerable a submarine is to enemy gunfire as most games seemingly allow you to do any level of repair. Literally, on every shot, I could feel you flinching. Then, with that one lucky hit on fuel or explosives, kaboom! What a game!

Honestly, the armed merchants I think aren't too bad to put a shot or two at from further away. You have the time and tools to know your range and more than likely hit with the first shots. If you knock out their guns, or movement, winner winner, tanker dinner. But uh, seeking that spiky ball in the periscope is a different kind of icy chills in your blood.

Scary, Tense and an EPIC battle. had me biting my nails and made my face cringe quite a few times as those closer enemy shells flew by and the finial shot from your Uboat crew stuffing shell right down the bow of merchant made my jaw drop.....had to hit ammo or something explosive like a magazine in the ship because it totally went up like the H.M.S Hood.

I never give suggestions to creators (you wouldn't need any, anyway) but I think that maybe you could feature some sepia-toned footage extracted from this engagement and use it on the "narrative" part of your next video. Maybe throw in some lines in german, why not :) Definitely some vintage war-movie-like material you got here. Just my two cents.

Well I guess you found the East Coast Mine barrage, its 100km off the east coast of England and starts from Dover and ends at Moray Firth off the east coast of Scotland. 😆 All historically accurate too.

I have seen a similar graphical glitch in some other modded games, it was a issue with the sun glare there. Not much help, but maybe its something.

Can be worth chancing a gun duel in a type IX sometimes, they have a 10.5cm deck gun, so if it's a freighter with a basic 3 inch (76mm) you can possibly take them out from outside their range if the sea's calm enough.

Maybe this is known, but always try to keep the bow as much as possible straight towards the target. Harder for the enemy to hit. Next, moving around personal. Highlight the compartment by left click on it and then just right click on the men you wanna move there. Faster than drawing them there.

I don´t think so with 32GB of extremely fast RAM.... But then this is an old engine, it likely can´t use all that RAM

Not to be super critical,..but it would be more enjoyable for this viewer, if you were not so herky jerky with the binoculars during the firing. One cannot follow the fall of shot. Almost like following your eyeballs here yonder and about. Settle down so we can see the fall of shot. Thank you. Otherwise very good.

@@Tonci87 Depends on the aircraft though. A 2cm gun historically could take down a Swordfish. Not so good on my twin-engine types but it appears it already dropped the payload

@@nikitanavy4724 Not the version that could be mounted on U-boats. That comes in 1943. At some point in 1940 I should be able to get the twin 2cm mount.
