I don't think so....it's their two keyboardists at the time. Teddy and Gilby along with Slash were also in the "short promotional film" for the Michael Jackson song "Give In To Me" which had been released earlier in the year premiering on an evening airing of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that was the first Michael Jackson public interview fifteen years at that point...

Some people complain it's "cheap" but I like that it's just bare bones and the band killing it. Sometimes just performing is good enough for a video, especially a great band like Guns N'Roses.
@Grandmaster-G2 жыл бұрын
Agreed ! This is actually ALL i want to see in a musicvideo. The band playing the song...with appropriate energy. Everything else is just to distract from a mediocre song ! Usually i watch stuff on here that only shows to CD cover. It's about music...nothing else.

People need to put their hatred for Axl Rose aside and respect the man for the fucking bad ass frontman that he was. He created some of the greatest rock music in the history of rock. He was the voice of his generation, the way that Kurt Cobain was the voice of the next. If you listen to rock stations that play 70's through 90's rock, Guns N' Roses still dominate those stations. And they have so many songs that are unbelievable that for whatever reason weren't as big as their mainstream ones, but equally as great - Such as this song for instance.

Agreed brotha. Appetite was nothing but hits. Every song on that Album still gets played today on the radio..and its almost 30 years ago...Im not a fan boy of Gnr or Axl, but being in my early 30s, they are a huge influence in my musical taste.
@187jacktheripper10 жыл бұрын
Joseph Selser I love all GNR material. Appetite, of course, is where most of their classics come from, but I personally like Illusions, 1 and 2, equally as much. Most of my favorite Guns songs come from Illusions - November Rain, Civil War, Estranged, Coma, You could be mine, So Fine, Garden of Eden, Don't Damn me, etc... Also GN'R Lies was great with songs like Patience, One in a million, crazy, etc.. And I even loved Chinese Democracy - check out songs like "Sorry", "Better" and especially "There was a time" - Great song. Greatest band ever man .

And sex is used anyway it can be Sometimes, when I look out, it's hard to see the day It's a feeling, you can have it, it's not mine to take away [Chorus] Lost in the Garden of Eden Said, we're lost in the Garden of Eden And there's no one who's gonna believe this But we're lost in the Garden of Eden [Post-Chorus] This fire is burning, and it's out of control It's not a problem, you can stop, it's rock n' roll Suck on that [Verse 3] Looking through this point of view, there's no way I'm gonna fit in No, you tell me what my eyes see, don't you tell me who to believe in I ain't superstitious, but I know when something's wrong I've been dragging my heels with a bitch called hope Let the undercurrent drag me along [Chorus] Lost in the Garden of Eden Said, we're lost in the Garden of Eden And there's no one who's gonna believe this But we're lost in the Garden of Eden, come on [Guitar Solo] [Verse 4] Most organized religions make a mockery of humanity Our governments are dangerous and out of control The Garden of Eden is just another graveyard Said, if they had someone to buy it, said, I'm sure they'd sell my soul [Pre-Chorus] This fire is burning, and it's out of control It's not a problem, you can stop, it's rock n' roll [Chorus] Lost in the Garden of Eden Said, we're lost in the Garden of Eden (And we ain't talkin' about no poison apple Or some missin' rib, ya hear?) It means as a society and especially Hollywood, all we do is seek pleasure and sex, hence the metaphor, since the garden of Eden was a pleasure Utopia where everything was taken care of for you. The fall was that we had to work for our food and survival, but now we're somewhat past the point of survival, and trying to emulate the garden of Eden in a materialistic way by pursuing pleasure and money. The rest of the lyrics are more about the current state of the world, with religions trying to tell you what to think, and the government trying to control you.

This song is SO underrated. The overall sound, energy, attitude, and tone defines Guns N Roses perfectly. Deserved to be their most popular song, but sadly is overshadowed by songs like "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "November Rain"
@EVSwrestling8 жыл бұрын
Sadly??? Sweet Child O' Mine and November Rain are much better than this song. This is good, but nowhere near Sweet Child O' Mine.
@axelgrattan16688 жыл бұрын
Anyone who thinks sweet child is one of their best obviously hasn't listened to anything else. Estranged and Coma are where it's at
@Zaksporebrainiac8 жыл бұрын
A.C Diamonds yeah, sweet child, november rain, paradise city and welcome to the jungle are waaay to over rated. they're good songs but, songs like this overpower them dramatically. and guns have made many songs that are better with proper kickass riffs.
@nursing-fv4of8 жыл бұрын
A.C Diamonds What?! I mean we all have opinions but November Rain is a masterpiece and it is absolutely not overrated! How often do you hear that on the radio? Almost never. It is the most beautiful song....listen closely. Respect how beautiful it is!

I think november rain is good but they have certainly made better songs. And its the same with sweet child and paradise coty really. I think they are mentioned at number 1 a bit too often.

Same brother! My next door neighbor was a dude named Pete who was dating a sweetheart Mary-Beth. I got to know his kids Jake and Jillian whenever they came over (shared custody from a divorce), but when they weren't with Pete he also let me raid his cassette tape library. *Do you think I even knew what I was in for when I decided to randomly pick Appetite for Destruction that one fateful day in the late-80's?* Cool ass dude that basically changed my life. It was only a few years after I heard November Rain and saw the music video. I was in the 6th grade playing the violin, but immediately quit and asked my mom for a guitar for my birthday... best summer of my life.
