I love how at the beginning Slash was out of the frame, and when the staff dragged him into view he was still going at his guitar like nothing's happening. That was awesome.

I don't think so....it's their two keyboardists at the time. Teddy and Gilby along with Slash were also in the "short promotional film" for the Michael Jackson song "Give In To Me" which had been released earlier in the year premiering on an evening airing of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that was the first Michael Jackson public interview fifteen years at that point...

Some people complain it's "cheap" but I like that it's just bare bones and the band killing it. Sometimes just performing is good enough for a video, especially a great band like Guns N'Roses.
@Grandmaster-G

Agreed ! This is actually ALL i want to see in a musicvideo. The band playing the song...with appropriate energy. Everything else is just to distract from a mediocre song ! Usually i watch stuff on here that only shows to CD cover. It's about music...nothing else.

By this point? After the “November Crying War” trilogy? …I’m sure the band just wanted to go back to being a balls to the wall band… no more mega productions, no more bullshit. I respect them for that.

This video proves that you don't need Hollywood movie budgets for a music video. Like you said, just an awesome band rocking out hard. Simple, energetic, and raw.

@DnB and Psy Production Tough to trim down, but if you had to, what 12 to 15 songs would you pick? For a mix of everything, I'd go with: Right Next Door To Hell - November Rain - Live And Let Die - You Could Be Mine - Don't Cry - Civil War - Locomotive - Don't Damn Me - Breakdown - Knockin' On Heaven's Door - The Garden - Perfect Crime - Estranged - Garden Of Eden - Coma

People need to put their hatred for Axl Rose aside and respect the man for the fucking bad ass frontman that he was. He created some of the greatest rock music in the history of rock. He was the voice of his generation, the way that Kurt Cobain was the voice of the next. If you listen to rock stations that play 70's through 90's rock, Guns N' Roses still dominate those stations. And they have so many songs that are unbelievable that for whatever reason weren't as big as their mainstream ones, but equally as great - Such as this song for instance.

Joseph Selser I love all GNR material. Appetite, of course, is where most of their classics come from, but I personally like Illusions, 1 and 2, equally as much. Most of my favorite Guns songs come from Illusions - November Rain, Civil War, Estranged, Coma, You could be mine, So Fine, Garden of Eden, Don't Damn me, etc... Also GN'R Lies was great with songs like Patience, One in a million, crazy, etc.. And I even loved Chinese Democracy - check out songs like "Sorry", "Better" and especially "There was a time" - Great song. Greatest band ever man .

[Intro] It's a critical solution, and the east coast got the blues It's a mass of confusion, like the lies they sell to you [Verse 1] You got a glass-jawed toothache of a mental disease And they be running 'round back, see them line up on their knees 'Cause the kiss-ass sycophants, throwing penance at your feet When they got nowhere to go, watch them come in off the streets While they're banging out front inside they're slamming to the crunch Go on an throw me to the lions and the whole damn screaming bunch 'Cause the pissed-off rip-offs, they're everywhere you turn Tell me how a generation's ever supposed to learn [Bridge] This fire is burning, and it's out of control It's not a problem, you can stop, it's rock n' roll [Verse 2] I read it on a wall, it went straight to my head It said, "Dance to the tension of a world on edge" We got racial violence, and who'll cast the first stone? And sex is used anyway it can be Sometimes, when I look out, it's hard to see the day It's a feeling, you can have it, it's not mine to take away [Chorus] Lost in the Garden of Eden Said, we're lost in the Garden of Eden And there's no one who's gonna believe this But we're lost in the Garden of Eden [Post-Chorus] This fire is burning, and it's out of control It's not a problem, you can stop, it's rock n' roll Suck on that [Verse 3] Looking through this point of view, there's no way I'm gonna fit in No, you tell me what my eyes see, don't you tell me who to believe in I ain't superstitious, but I know when something's wrong I've been dragging my heels with a bitch called hope Let the undercurrent drag me along [Chorus] Lost in the Garden of Eden Said, we're lost in the Garden of Eden And there's no one who's gonna believe this But we're lost in the Garden of Eden, come on [Guitar Solo] [Verse 4] Most organized religions make a mockery of humanity Our governments are dangerous and out of control The Garden of Eden is just another graveyard Said, if they had someone to buy it, said, I'm sure they'd sell my soul [Pre-Chorus] This fire is burning, and it's out of control It's not a problem, you can stop, it's rock n' roll [Chorus] Lost in the Garden of Eden Said, we're lost in the Garden of Eden (And we ain't talkin' about no poison apple Or some missin' rib, ya hear?) It means as a society and especially Hollywood, all we do is seek pleasure and sex, hence the metaphor, since the garden of Eden was a pleasure Utopia where everything was taken care of for you. The fall was that we had to work for our food and survival, but now we're somewhat past the point of survival, and trying to emulate the garden of Eden in a materialistic way by pursuing pleasure and money. The rest of the lyrics are more about the current state of the world, with religions trying to tell you what to think, and the government trying to control you.

Got the whole song's lyrics :P It's a critical solution And the east coast got the blues It's a mass of confusion Like the lies they sell to you You got a glass jawed toothache Of a mental disease An they be runnin' round back See 'em line up on their knees Cause the kiss *** sycophants Throwin' penance at your feet When they got nowhere to go Watch 'em come in off the streets While they're bangin' out front Inside their slammin' to the cruch Go on an throw me to the lions And the whole damn screamin' bunch Cause the pissed-off rip-offs Are' everywhere you turn Tell me how a generation's Ever s'posed to learn This fire is burnin' And it's out of control It's not a problem you can stop It's rock n' roll I read it on a wall It went straight to my head It said Dance to the tension Of a world on edge We got racial violence And who'll cast the first stone And sex is used anyway it can be Sometimes when I look out It's hard to see the day It's a feelin' you can have it It's not mine to take away Lost in the garden of Eden Said we're lost in the garden of Eden And there's no one's gonna believe this But we're lost in the garden of Eden This fire is burnin' And it's out of control It's not a problem you can stop It's rock n' roll Suck on that Looking through this point of view There's no way I'm gonna fit in Don't ya tell me what my eyes see Don't ya tell me who to believe in I ain't superstitious But I know when somethin's wrong I've been draggin' my heels With a ***** called hope Let the undercurrent drag me along Lost in the garden of Eden Said we're lost in the garden of Eden And there's no one's gonna believe this But we're lost in the garden of Eden Most organized religions make A mockery of humanity Our governments are dangerous And out of control The garden of Eden is just another graveyard Said if they had someone to buy it Said I'm sure they'd sell my soul This fire is burnin' And it's out of control It's not a problem you can stop It's rock n' roll Lost in the garden of Eden (An we ain't talkin' about no poison apple or some missin' rib ya hear) Said we're lost in the garden of Eden And there's no one's gonna believe this Said we're lost in the garden of Eden This fire is burnin' And it's out of control It's not a problem you can stop It's rock n' roll

It was only a few years after I heard November Rain and saw the music video.
