Finally i can respond.. We as black ppl do ourself a great disservice if we think that only we have soul. Soul, especially with music, it is universal. Im a hardcore rap and hip-hopper, but im also a rocker..always a message with rock..rhcp, metallica, alice n chains, staind, nirvana..we like what we grow up to..but you will be suprised at what catches your ear.. Puddle of Mudd, STP..im a black man and i love rock..the live instrument playing is pure talent.

I gotta tell you I am 63 now and have listened to country music my hold life, but me and my wife had a chance to go see Guns-n-Roses in Las Vegas back in the 90's and we were about 20 feet from the stage and it was one of the best concerts I had evva gone to! But i was sober the whole time so I remember it!!!! LOL, I used to drink a bit!!! God Bless you Sweetie and keep up the good work!!!

This is my favorite style of guitar playing. It's composed of individual notes as opposed to strummed chords. I consider that a distinguishing feature separating "metal" from "hard rock".

The song is about Axl Rose's (the lead singer's) model girlfriend Erin Everly (she's the pretty brunette walking around in the white blouse in the video). 🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫 Your comments are turned off on your Patience reaction...so I'm going to add my comment for that here as well.... :) Patience came out in 1987....Axl has been whistling that intro smooth and clean for 33 years! It always sounds perfect at every live show. Their tour got postponed this year, but I can guarantee that whistle would sound exactly the same this year as well. :) You were hoping that whoever he was being so patient for would some day come into his life...well she did. They got married in 1990...then divorced a month later. They later got back together, she got pregnant, and soon had a miscarriage. All goes into a big depression over this loss. She leaves him after much fighting, they annulled their marriage in 1991. In 1994, Erin files a law suit accusing Axl of abuse throughout their relationship. Enter....the trilogy. If you want to really dive into his personal emotions and song writing genius... You're next video should be Don't Cry, followed by November Rain, then followed by Estranged...in that order. The three music videos were released across 3 years and were based on a short story by Del James about Axl and Erin's relationship and hardship. Those videos feature his girlfriend at the time super model Stephanie Seymore. 🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫🌹🔫 That have many other songs and videos that are not related to any of this story that are also great songs. You should definitely dig into those as well.

This was one of the first songs that I started learning to play on guitar. It took quite a while to play it properly, LOL, but I got there. I was inspired to learn guitar when I was 14 years old by a man named Joe Satriani and at 41 I still play. Please will you react to Joe Satriani's "Flying in a blue dream (Live version)? Hey sweet child, you should check out that same song only Fergie sings it and her and slash kill it together , and it's live it is awesome.
