I bought one 2 years ago. Could not get better than 4” groups using my bag as a test. Upgraded the trigger, changed my scopes just in case. Little improvement. That group is not great for long range. I took the barrel off and it was loose in the receiver. About 1mm too lose. I bought a Faxon 20” heavy fluted barrel. Fort that I had to warm the receiver for the barrel to slide in. Miracle! Sub MOA at 100yds now! Springfield needs to up its game.

@@alboobookuya3385 Springfield quality is a little lax. I have had minor issues with 2 other big brands that have required some gunsmithing to fix

@M R I own 15 springfields from the 1911, XD/M to saints, the .308 pistol maybe my favorite (xdm 5.25 and 1981 match 1911 close second)

The weight suggests it has a thin profile barrel and I'd like to know if it is thin, medium, etc.? Also, does it take standard DPMS/Magpul mags?
