Thanks for all the info. Its always interesting to see different barrel lengths vs different loadings. Unfortunately we are seeing the cylinder gap grow larger and larger as time goes by and that makes a big difference in velocity. A normal cylinder gap back in the 50s-70s on a quality revolver was 2-4 thousandths of an inch 0.002''-0.004'' Now we regularly see 0.005''-0.008'' That makes the guns easier to produce but really reduces velocity and consistency.

Thanks for all the velocity info! Your Remington ammo did about the same as mine, way under what's on the box. That Supermaximum was moving though! I've got some older ammo, might have to get my hands on the new stuff. Looks like it's hotter.

Thanks for stopping by again. I enjoyed your Federal Punch rifle video- I just didn't have anything to say on that one. The supermaximums were definately hot in this one. But I believe, as I reflected on in the video, that some of them were over charged.

Really different velocities compared to FatDad's most recent chrono tests with the Velocitor. Varies from batch to batch maybe?

I think storage methods/humidity affect it as well- and of course barrel length.

Thanks for the review, I believe the manufacturer's claimed velocity is from a 24" barrel. I picked up a 200 round box of CCI Stingers a couple months ago and they claimed 1,395 fps out of a 6" barrel, my rough rider has a 6 1/2" barrel and I've not fired any of them yet, looking forward to your other vids and wish I had a chronograph. Hey brother thanks for taking all of the time it took to set up and chrono all of those rounds you had some really good stuff I was humbled at the fact you shot ammo that you probably can’t run out and replace I will have to watch over because after the first round of test I couldn’t see the numbers and I thought you would put on screen at the end! If I had thought anyone watching it could not see the numbers clearly I would have certainly posted them on screen. I edit and watch everything on my phone and I can see the numbers through the entirety of the video just fine even on my phone, so I am unclear as to why you cannot see the. But I appologize that you cannot see them for whatever reason.

Aguila Interceptor is the fastest in my Test, also the SP is imo better(faster) than the HP , at least mine are out of an 18" barrel.(Rossi) (i only tested 40gr)
