Two additional tips: USE Nitrile gloves, so you don’t absorb the solvents or oils and smell like them. USE PLENTY of ventilation, so don’t fill your house with CLP or lubricant odor while your better half might be cooking. Seriously. You want to be responsible and respectful. Otherwise it’s like trying to eat supper in a gas station.

The bore needs a lot more attention than that. There was no brush used and the slotted jag that was used does an inferior job of making contact with the bore surface. Use a cylindrical jag and follow up with a bronze brush and you’ll see how much more residue was still left in the barrel.

Very helpful, thanks. I am a new gun owner. Is there a cleaning kit that is available and you'd recommend that has all the tools, lubes, etc.?
@brentkemper11768 ай бұрын
If you haven’t found one yet, Id recommend going to a range/gun sale place and looking for gun cleaning kits. The ones at the place i go are based on caliber. For example for my glock 45 i recently purchased(haven’t gotten to pick up yet) i purchased a kit for 9mm pistols. For my Taurus PT1911 i already own i purchased a kit for 45 caliber pistols. It generally comes with all of what she showed in this video with the exception of the cleaning pads.

Hey Jacki... my process is quite similar although I personally don't use quite as much oil, I am a CLP "Break - Free" kind of guy that believes that a dry Glock is a Happy Glock! Personally I am a wipe a haulic with a Castle Product named 5-50 or the Well-Worth Equivalent A2Z which imparts or impregnates the metal protecting without that oily feel! Just Me... Thanks for this video Kiddo ';-)
