This is a masterpiece. You should win awards for this. Art on so many levels. I doubt most will realize the depth of this. I know most will focus on the music, but the concept of having a machine make the art while a human makes the music(about an metaphysical idea) and the interpretations of both creating the meaning, is next level. Has to be one of the most interesting concepts and videos I have ever seen! Just unbelievable.

@wildwoodwood91532 жыл бұрын
@@MasterPyrokar Thank you for your comment. I am so blown away by this video but I will admit, not being an AI or computer guy I think I don’t understand it at the level I’d like. If you do understand….may I ask a clarifying question? I understand the concept of asking a computer (AI) to produce an image of a topic “what happens when we die?” and the computer throws an image. But where does the “flow” come from? The artistic and insane transition from image to image. Is the computer indeed creating it all?? If that’s what I’m to understand then it is almost incomprehensible AND terrifying.
@MasterPyrokar2 жыл бұрын
@@wildwoodwood9153 I am not 100% sure which technique and algorithms they used, but one possible explanation for the "flow" transitions is the following: The visual representation of "what happens when we die" is not learned by the AI directly. This means that there exist no direct connection between a given phrase and a concrete image. What happens instead is that the AI learns a representation of "approximately" the meaning of the phrase. Imagine a map with an area where all these connections between the phrase and the visuals (when outputing one image) live. If you now point with your finger on that map and move around the area you would get something representing the meaning of the words, but as you move each image is a little different. The more you move to the rim of such an area, the more uncertain it gets, but stays in the same range of the topic. Now imagine a global map which has a lot of these areas (which could also overlap) representing e.g. "What happens to Buddhists when we die", "What do we see what we die" or "What is death". All this is represented in numbers. For sake of explanation, just imagine a 1-dimensional representation (e.g. The image representation of "What happens to Buddhists ..." = 0.5). If you now move your finger of that map in one direction, that number may become 0.6 or 0.4 for "more buddhist", "more science fiction" and so forth. It's a bit like cooking and the numerical represenations are the amount of ingriedients a meal consist of. And this movement between the numbers may be the flow we may observe between the images. In reality the visuals are represented by a more complex set of numbers, but the underlying principle stays the same. (This allows us to do the same "flow" between a zebra and a horse, they are also placed in proximity and so it is easy for the computer to "flow" between those two. The more artistic version would be between a zebra and an elephant, which includes more change in size, color, location. You have to pump up the zebra, pull the legs, the nose etc. If the steps are small enough over time you get this fluid transistion (if you pay close attention you can even notice "neighbourhoods" which lead to faster transisitons in the video). In a sense you could say that this is the mind of all humans (or at least artists which had something to say to the topic) pondering about the phrase "what happens when we die" without ever representing one specific artist. This makes it so deeply meaningful to me as a piece of art and tells us a lot about how unstable truth, belief and reality can be. The video also allows someone to visually expericence math without the need of formal education. You can "feel" math in this way. If you want to dig deeper, I can highly recommend the book "The creativity code - Art and Innovation in the Age of AI" by Marcus Du Sautoy. The book has a nice way to explain these topics by getting not too technical but also doesn't think the reader is an idiot :). If you want to know about this on a more detailed level, search for papers and information online, with e.g the keywords "Generative Adversarial Networks", "StyleGAN", "Pix2Pix", "Variational Autoencoders".

The build up in this song is a thing of beauty. That haunting "horn" like noise that comes in at the later parts of the song is so ominous. Love it 💪

Absolutely beautiful display of life and death. Had a much needed cathartic cry. I will be coming back to rewatch whenever I need to visit the magnificent void. Thank you.

Mate I agree, this gave me goosebumps, it was soo close to the imagery produced by dmt, and that is not an easy feat!

Its...really awsome. I can' discribe it, but the music and this pictures are going so deep. A touch deep inside the soul. So unhuman, but also human too.

Power Glove with my boys over at Gunship! This was a treat! I love hearing Westaway singing in way's we haven't yet. The more more cyber-lowfi percussion was a welcome mix-up from the 80's stuff as well!-and of course the god-tier synth work! Gunship you guys truly are the single most slept on, underrated band I have ever had the pleasure of discovering. I couldn't have asked for a better song to help me cope after Edgerunners! This is making me so damn hyped for the new album!

It's unfair how prodigiously much beauty there is to see, that we cannot. Our eyes only grasp 4.6% of the light-spectrum. Even with that, with our low brain-capacity and frames per second eyes, we can't even process all the art we're seeing. All we truly know is that it goes us by. But at least, we know it is still as beautiful.

this is the type of music that gets you motivated to workout or go and do something youve been putting aside for years and year. it gives you the absolute sheer willpower that you need to go and talk to that girl you like, to start going to the gym and workout, it makes you want to go to your bully and finish what they started
