But yeah both hands around waist is too low abd clearly a trap / show boat.

Confidence boosting sparring before a sanctioned fight. Wouldn’t want to spar a killer that’s trying to compete with you and take your head off before a fight.. need to fight someone you can get your combos off on and practice timing. All you need is warm body that’s at the gym and is willing to step in the ring. Not one person in that ring is surprised on how the sparring round is going lol. It’s methodically planned to be like this. Sometimes you’re the hammer and sometimes you’re the nail.
