@@d123avek1 it was a nice video. The first time I saw someone yelling to the top of their lungs let's go!!! Over and over I thought why in the h are they yelling that over and over. My oldest son told me that was the new thing for some people. Looked like a good way to get a cussing if some nit wit did that on public land or anywhere that other people are hunting. They were screaming and hugging and whatnot and they hadn't even found the deer yet. I don't take my eyes off of it if I see it drop. I sure don't make any noise until I find it and make sure it's dead. No unnecessary noise anyway.

As an old bow hunter I appreciate videos like these. Brings back some great memories of past hunts and kills. I'm 72 years old and started with a recurve in 1963. I prefer a custom long bow for my traditional style hunts. I also really like my Elite Ritual 33. Cool video. It's mighty hard to hit a deer that looking right you. Even with a compound too. Buddy that was incredible!! I just got a recurve today!! After taking 25 deer with a compound and a couple with the crossbow!! I recieved it today and started with a 35 lb draw to learn on !! I love it last 5 shots this evening about 5 inch group sooo fun!!

Traditional bow hunting? Sure.. Practice lots, wearing hunting gear. Shooting shirtless in your basement is not the same as shooting with a jacket and bino harness.... Or with cold fingers. But most important is practice. We work too hard to get close for one shot just to have it foiled by an arrow sailing over the back of a deer from lack of practice. Learn good form, and practice that.

Good for you! Was there very little blood trail? I shot a big Whitetail this year at 8 yards, and thought it was a great hit. I was above him in a saddle. The arrow went all the way through (250gr Iron Will). I got down about 45 minutes later just to look at the impact site. Unbeknownst to me, he bedded down about 75 yards from me. He got up and lumbered off over a rise on a gravel road. I lost the blood trail. He didn't bleed very much, but I've found deer in the past that didn't bleed much.. Huge bummer! A couple different guys helped me look, but they both thought he was still alive. Neither are trad guys. There deer probably went onto private land, and one of the guys hunts there. Not sure he was real excited about me taking a tracking dog in there so I reluctantly gave up the search. Tough deal for sure! Happy for you on your trophy! Peace
