This is a terrific interview-- Gurucharan Das provides excellent insights into various decisions made since independence related to how India's economic system developed, how we delayed our economic independence for a very long time, covering many wrong calls and missed opportunities. A much larger audience needs to listen to this (e.g., his point on lack of job creation and industrial revolution). This also reminded the times when I met Pilu Modi and others in opposition with my father-- they were all trying to avoid jail.

Heard Mr.Gurucharan Das for the first time, although having read his books before. His masterful storytelling was abound in the way he took through the various aspects of reforms and economic policy, ably prompted by Mr.Rahul. Thanks for bringing this candid conversations here! Looking forward not to miss any of the FED's conversations.
