This is generally one of the most beautiful works of art in not only internet history, but all of history. The way everybody is represented on here, one way or another. The unions people formed. The little hearts between the flags that protected each other. The way the blue corner took over used a grid structure tactic, the way the rainbow road used just diagonal lines to take over, the way the void appeared like a veiny disease, but defeated almost every time. The EU flag with the symbol of peace between germany and france. It's a small scale representation of human nature, history and society. It makes me wanna cry sometimes because of how beautiful it is.

Each collection of pixels; every logo, every word, every flag represents a community coming together to put their mark on this project. The fact that so many of those communities were able to interact with one another and come to agreements that were mutually beneficial is incredible. As someone who worked on the Destiny logo (and related pixel art), we had communications with Scotland and Rocket League to ensure that we weren't stepping on their toes, and that they didn't paint over our stuff, and I'm sure other communities also found themselves chatting with their neighbours. I can honestly say that this was one of the best experiences I've ever had on the Internet, and I'm proud to be a part of the Reddit community.

yes it's incredibly stupid how people like to pretend that blue corner, the rainbow road, and other color/pattern areas aren't the exact same thing as the void. in fact the void started off as the white patch in the middle (blue went bottom right, red was one area, green was one area, white tried to keep the middle. but it seemed like people just considered a white spot on the screen to be an 'unused' area so it quickly switched to black so it was at least visually apparent there was a group trying to make a little area carved out in the middle. And then the damn rainbow people decided they deserved to just cut across every fucking part of the screen and for whatever reason people think they were justified in that and the blue corner was justified in their area but the void wasn't justified in having an area for itself? so the void got pissed off and said if you won't let us have our area we'll snake out anywhere we can. history is written by the victors so ofc the rainbow ppl love to pat themselves on the back. and the ones who try to paint it as some kind of battle between tolerance and intolerance are even more deluded it all started as just people teaming up to make diff colors on diff parts of the map like a little dumb game not some moral statement on LGBT rights.
