I hope they will plant some Tecoma trees there; the flowers make a spectacular sight when they bloom, whether it's pink , white or purple. Just like cherry blossoms in Japan. Alor Setar has a lot of them as well.

credit to the developer for this non-mall related project, which is a rarity in Malaysia. though I do wonder why can't they plant adult trees that are big enough to provide shades? I've seen those kind of vehicle that can relocate trees by digging down to the roots. Because it's going to take 10-15 years for those young trees to grow and be capable enough to give ample shading in the area.

This is a reclaimed land, so it needs time to settle and probably could not support the weight of full grown trees immediately

Transplanted adult trees have their tap root cut off. Therefore unable to anchor the trees. Planted near the coast, any storms will directly hit the trees & topple them.

I hope the authorities build an outer ring road to bypass Gurney Drive. Otherwise all d traffic pour into the existing road it'll cause a big jam 1 mile long. We need more roads to go into Georgetown apart from the existing road

Looks great but Penang heat is no joke, wonder how many years till the trees are grown enough to provide adequate shade? don't make sense if the public park still needs another 2-3 years before people can properly enjoy. Wait till around sunset? yeah, lets extend the rush hour jam.
