My friends and I were around 16 and we would meet up with a group of guys that were 19/20. My mum went on a date in the 60’s at 14/15 he was 20 and nothing would happen sexually as you didn’t dare in those days. You have to remember different times , different mindsets, different era. In your case, your relationship didn't go further than kissing. Aaliyah was groomed for sexual abuse by an adult man whom is now recognised as a prolific sex offender. There's evidence that she could have been as young as 13 when this started. I agree that Aaliyah- and many other vulnerable young people- were failed by society. I'm only slightly younger than Aaliyah and I knew several 15-year-old girls who were in sexual relationships with men in their mid to late 20s. However, I didn't see this as 'normal' because my parents taught me it wasn't. I was quite shocked when I first heard about the R. Kelly/ Aaliyah underage marriage scandal, but I wasn't even sure it was true because it didn't seem to be followed up on. Of course, this has since been verified. If something similar had happened to me at that age, and my parents had discovered it, they would have gone to the police. In Aaliyah's case, either her parents didn't know or they chose to turn a blind eye.

Dame has been bullshitting his way through the last 20 years since Jay chose to sever ties. He has a story for everything & a theory about everything but the truth. I’m surprised people still bother to have him on podcasts & shows. He has nothing to offer anyone beyond made up stories about the good ole days with Roc before his personality ruined everything. 🤦🏻♀️

Dame Dash keeps interrupting throughout the interview.. he acts like he's the only person that "knows" the truth. His opinion or story is no different than anyone else's; it just his opinion. He don't know anymore than anyone else.. he is so full of shit.
