Walt Disney World's Main Street Electrical Parade Soundtrack 2010

Main street electrical parade music or soundtrack that was removed from youtube today as the person (Geeker1982) closed his account, so I fixed the abrupt into and re-uploaded it for everyone to enjoy. The opening and closing announcements were from the park itself taken by Martin Smith a few years ago. This soundtrack was used in the main street electrical parade in the return of the electrical parade to the Magic Kingdom in disney world on June 5th 2010, originally, the music was actually used in 2001 for the dreamlights parade in Tokyo Disneyland, and then was used at California Adventure in 2009, and was supposed to be temporarily moved to disney world while they repaired spectromagic. Unfortunately, the spectromagic floats where destroyed, so the parade remains at the Magic Kingdom, until the new light parade is finished. This soundtrack differs greatly from the one used in 1973, and the version used in 1977, which where done with analog synthesizers, and were in two different keys. The 1973 version was in G#, but the 1977 version was actually in between two keys which were G, and G#, the current version is in G and has a small change in the song which I will leave you to figure out.

I never grew up with the original version. It was over 20 years before my time. But I'd always heard stories about the fantastic Electrical Parade, about the wonder every time it rolled through. And I had an MP3 of the original version. I always wished that I could experience something that amazing. So imagine my absolute awe during my band Disney trip back in 2011 on that final night just as we're going into Main Street to leave, and the lights dim. I'm telling you guys, you can hear the music all you want, but there's an inexplicable wonder you feel as you watch this parade in person. It's a feeling of reawakened childhood I feel every single time I see this parade roll through. Would even say a day in Magic Kingdom is worth it for this alone. And every time I hear the tune now, that little echo of the little child I once was resonates in my heart :)

SO TRUE. It's my favorite parade ever, and I'm not one for parades. Last time I went it was the last thing I saw before leaving WDW the next day, and I was tearing up. My friend and I are planning to go to Disney in a few years with our boyfriends, and I don't know which I'm more excited about, this or the Haunted Mansion. I feel like this whole song is just kind of a part of me, I can't really explain it, but I feel really connected to it, like it brings back that belief in magic from childhood. I hope that I never lose that connection and I hope others will feel that when they watch the parade and hear the music, it's just so grand and amazing.

I still come here every once in a while to listen to this. I loved this parade, I was 8 when I went in 2010 but I still remember the tracks so well. 🥰 I am autistic, and one of my fixations is Disney, especially going to WDW, so of course when I went to the parks and saw this, I loved it, especially since my favorite part of Magic Kingdom is Tomorrowland (and it still is.) Did you know that the Electrical Parade actually had a world record? Disney has a lot of world records for its imagineering stunts, but the Electric Parade, while it was in operation, was the largest connected set of parallel circuits (as in the type of circuitry where if one thing shorts, the electricity will just redirect down another path in the circuit.) While there are more complicated circuits that can do this job, Disney used the most basic one, and so the TENS OF THOUSANDS of bulbs across all of the floats were connected using these circuits so if one bulb failed during the show, the parade could continue without a hitch, and this became the largest working set of this basic circuit in the world! Disney is having to deal with some crap right now, unfortunately (they did support a bill recently in Florida that was against the rest of their morals, and then when their staff striked, they revoked their decision, so a certain Giant Trumpet the Sequel is attempting threatening them with removing the protective bubble around WDW that they've had for 50 years if they don't bow down to him, so everyone who's a fanatic, like me, is holding their breath because Disney can either say "frick you" to the staff and obey this twerp, which so far has lead to even the Winnie the Pooh ride having lines all the way around the park due to staff shortages, or say "frick you" to the twerp and lose their bubble and WDW will be governed by Orange County, or they'll have to pull a number and pull their money out of Florida somehow, which would end the twerp's whole career but we have no idea what the end result will be) so I'm just hoping and sending well wishes and some Mickey Magic from NY to anyone who needs it, even if it's Disney themselves. As a last note, if anyone is wondering if I'm going to Disney again... of course, if everything works out! ☺️ My family and I have been waiting for a while for COVID to settle down, so our current date is March 2024. If you're wondering why so far out, first of all, hedging our bets, but two, I'm going to turn 21 in 2023, and I want to try my first drinks at Disney since I heard they have some cool stuff, and what better way to end the pandemic (hopefully, 🤞🤞) than getting some cool drinks at the happiest place on earth? And that should also give Disney enough time to finish the Tron Coaster, which is on my "have to do" list even though I am really scared and not a rollercoaster fan. Ok, bye! Have a Disney day! 😉

Wow....this sounds more modern than the original version that I remembered back in Disneyland Park from the 1970's through the final showing which was during Black Friday (Thanksgiving Weekend) November 25, 1996. Oh what happy memories! :)

for those who haven't yet figured out what "the small change" is, it has to do with the tempo, in the original version of Baroque Hoedown, the tempo was 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3. the Coreographers did not like that third beat, so this version gave them the opportunity to do away with that musical anomaly

and if you do find it there, be advised that included in it there is two alternating lioops of music that isn't even used in the parade (it was created for the Dumbo's Circus units before they were cut from the parade)

Hollis Bush News flash, Magic Kingdom is the most visited theme park in the world, therefore Disney's largest profit producer, along with Walt Disney World in Florida being one of the largest employers in Florida. Try again sweety, the truth is, if one day, either Magic Kingdom or Disneyland needs to be sold off, you can kiss goodbye to Disneyland. Magic Kingdom is way too important, not to mention WDW has 3 parks aside from just Magic Kingdom, and then another 2 water parks, making a total of 6 parks with Magic Kingdom included. Do your research.

Conocí este tema gracias a Chespirito y "El Chapulín Colorado" por lo que no puedo dejar de asociarlo a él, y de hecho es la versión original, que es una reversión de un tema compuesto por el genial Jean Jacques Perrey, el cual me pregunto si participó de esta versión (no esta, la del original Electrical Parade, la que se usó durante años). Mi crítica sobre esta es la siguiente: Es notable que esta versión está basada en un 95% en el arreglo anterior (la versión original en realidad es de 1966, y la de EP, de los 70, pero no sé qué año exactamente), pero presenta algunas pocas bajas de calidad musical, especialmente durante los primeros acordes de clavicordio. Todo lo demás es una excelente modernización del arreglo anterior, aunque a veces algunos sintetizadores suenan demasiado modernos, la mayoría del trabajo tiene un sonido magical propio de un trabajo para esta parte de Disney, y en la mayoría de la pieza conserva mucho de la versión a la que estabamos acostumbrados, en ocasiones con sonidos muy similares. La mayor abundancia de canciones del medley completa el trabajo.

Martini-September I saw the parade and bought the record at Disney World in Florida. I've been to both. I actually like the original Disneyland better. Maybe it was because I was there first. I find both of them magical. Just too much walking in Florida!
