Main Street Electrical Parade Soundtrack With Rare Dumbo Unit

This is the new soundtrack first shown in 2010 at the Magic Kingdom at Disney World, I have come across a recording of the never shown Dumbo music from the parade and have incorporated it into this soundtrack. This soundtrack was used in the main street electrical parade in the return of the electrical parade to the Magic Kingdom in disney world on June 5th 2010, originally, the music was actually used in 2001 for the dreamlights parade in Tokyo Disneyland, and then was used at California Adventure in 2009, and was supposed to be temporarily moved to disney world while they repaired spectromagic. Unfortunately, the spectromagic floats where destroyed, so the parade remains at the Magic Kingdom, until the new light parade is finished. This soundtrack differs greatly from the one used in 1973, and the version used in 1977, which where done with analog synthesizers, and were in two different keys. The 1973 version was in G#, but the 1977 version was actually in between two keys which were G, and G#, the current version is in G and has a small change in the song which I will leave you to figure out.

This is maybe one of the only songs I've ever listened to enough to get stuck in my head ON PURPOSE because I liked it so much. And I never got tired of it. I still haven't.

You are correct. This soundtrack was used for Dreamlights. However, the entire soundtrack was not used in DCA as some tracks were considered too orchestral, so new tracks were made. The Dumbo unit you feature here (and I have in my own Main Street Electrical Parade Project -- search for it on YourTube) was never actually used live. I don't know the reason why.

That is correct, also, the closing fanfare that was used in the 2011 Renewal Edition was actually originally used in CA Adventure in 2009, so the "new" ending for the 2011 edition was not actually used at all, but in fact just brought over from Gregory Smiths 2009 version.

Main Street Electrical Parade Project No, it was used. It is the only version ever used in the "updated" version in the United States, so that is every version in the US after 2009. The version you hear at the end of this video is it. If you listen to my other soundtrack or the 2001 version of dream lights, you will notice the beginning ending fanfare (not the vocoder) has a slightly different sound than the 2011 version, which is actually the same ending that was used in the 2009 version here and currently at WDW. So what that all means is, the ending fanfare heard on the 2011 version of Dreamlights was actually first used in 2009 for DEP, and the ending fanfare from the 2001 version of Dreamlights was never used in America. I should make a comparison video to point out the differences.

Yeah, miss the vocoder intro, though I like this version a little bit better. Though Disneyland is getting a new night parade next year for the 60th, which may use the music from the electrical parade. (I hope)

Some news dropped today, MSEP is returning to Disneyland early 2017, PTN is seemingly going on an indefinite hiatus after the winter season. (At DL at least, who knows if it'll wind up in WDW)

Meh...if they're retiring it, it won't be for long. Just long enough to give it a complete makeover and launch it again, as a whole new electric parade. Disney knows when they have a perennial favorite on their hands. New versions come and go (SpectroMagic, Fantillusion, etc.) but without "Baroque Hoedown" and the main theme music, it's just not the same magic spell. And this is DEFINITELY a new version based on Tokyo Disneyland's Dream Lights version---which was a makeover of the original electric parade, with a BIGGER budget, and MILLIONS OF LIGHTS, rather than thousands. Still makes my eyes mist up with joy. VIVA, MSEP!

the announcements came from an induction recording made by youtube user MartinsVidsDotNet everything else came from a copy of the Disney California Adventure Cast Member Rehersal CD that was leaked to the internet

+puffnpluky76 It's not. This is the key of the new version. The original was in-between G and Ab, the new one that they started using in Tokyo in 2001 and at CA Adventure in 2009 (WDW 2010) is in G.
