im listening to the old and this version side by side... the old one gives me sweet nostalgia and it kinda makes me sad they upgraded it, this version sounds much cheerier. and that may sound weird, but I like the old one because I got the sense of old happiness, but also mystery and something deep I can't really describe. Also when they had different changes like for the bugs in Alice and wonderland, and the trumpets (I think) its just something that I actually can't describe, the older version just gives me so much happiness and it reminds me when I was younger. the older version had more instruments and more variety that left me with so much imagination. This version sounds a tad confusing to me, mainly because its kind of hard to pick out the instruments. but im still happy they have the original intent of the song in mind. all in all, I love that Disney keeps the memories and passes them on to the younger generation. ^-^

Yup! Unlike other mixes, this mix carries the majority of the bug sounds played during the Main Street Electrical Parade, and the pixie dust sounds for the Pinocchio segment as well! There are also segments in this mix other than Pinocchio that actually have the pixie dust sounds playing as well! Now about the fact that it should be illegal to retire MSEP... I just hope it stays, or returns to Disneyland at some point. 😂

Here's a good reason why i want this parade to return at some point: at least two of my co workers at my job either have just had a baby or will be having a baby in the coming months and i am hoping that the Mainstreet electric parade is around to entertain BOTH MY coworkers babies before it goes away forever, also my coworkers have both seen the mainstreet electric parade in person, BUT I HAVEN'T

I feel exactly the same way you do Geeker1982... it's a little hard to believe that only 16 performances of MSEP remain... but if Disney either extends the run once again to keep it running through the holidays (or before that), make it seasonal, or just simply keep it running at Disneyland permanently, I agree with you on the idea that Disney should really give the parade some TLC as well. The idea of Disney upgrading the floats doesn't sound so bad either! Besides, Disney actually confirmed at D23 that a significant announcement is to come soon about MSEP, so the only thing we should do for now is to sit tight, and wait to see what happens from there.

The only thing I want is for the unit to return the blue fairy and Dumbo to the parade, or even the It's a Small World unit that was withdrawn in '88, but I very much doubt that that unit will return.

Excellent work my fellow MSEP enthusiast. I had actually known Jack Wagner personally and have been to his studio many times over the years. He and actually recorded something together. He was the inspiration for the MSEP with Bob Jani. I appreciate your mixes, and I know it takes time and money. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am only hoping they will somehow send it back to WDW...... I'm pretty sad to acknowledge that the parade will be retiring for good as well, Bobby... only 10 days, and 18 performances (not including tonight's as those two performances have already been shown) remain until the final performance of this parade... 😔. Although, that idea does not sound bad at all! If Disney were to do something like that here at Disneyland, that would be awesome!

Danny Eyheralde i agree and if it was retiring FOR GOOD Disney would have put advertisements on billboards,TV up saying that it would be glowing away similar to what happened in 1996.Also they (Disney) would have announced that before or just after the parade started it's run at DL. If Disney also wanted retire it, they wouldn't have sent MSEP to an offsite warehouse. Secondly you can tell it isn't retiring for good because if you compare the final run this year to the final run in 1996. In 1996 people who like MSEP expected it to be the last ever run of MSEP and that season in 1996 was advertised as a "Farewell run" this years run at DL wasn't advertised as a Farewell run so i don't think anyone would expect it to retire forever (except those who don't like MSEP) and another reason is the fact that it has moved back to an offsite warehouse means it is more than likely to keep running either staying at DL or moving back to WDW. Finally there has been ENOUGH Disney Classics that have closed down/been retired this year: Wishes, Great Movie Ride, Universe Of Energy ect so MSEP better not be next.

Even during the 2022 run, the pixie dust sound effects still played throughout all the parade floats. It’s interesting given the pixie dust lights were removed, except from the Tinker Bell float.

The only way for me to get the new Disneyland Railroad's new spiel audio is not by source but actual recording of the audio. This will be difficult, as my phone will catch the voices of some people in the background, and therefore, the audio won't sound as clear. Boarding onto a train with silent riders isn't that common, but I can try to do what I can Alexander! :)
